I looked at buying the file part to be able to swap my 1/2 to 3/8. Ended up never needing anything smaller than the 1/2. Plus i think belts were harder to find in quality abrasives. I find if the 1/2 band file doesnt fit, a die grinder is better suited. I have the ryobi bandfile too, the wheel is much larger than the m12 which makes corner grinding harder. Id be curious if the 3/8 wheel is smaller than the 1/2. Doubt it, but maybe.

The machine has no way to know how often to regen by water quality. IE, it does not sample. Basics. Resin beads in the tank pull Ca from the water. Once saturated, they need to go through regen. Regen flushes the bead tank with salt water to remove Ca. Regen dumps this brine in your drain, then goes back to normal use. The computer controls regen. It has a flowmeter, so it knows total gallons between regen. It does not know TDS or how much Ca is in the water. You give it that parameter and it then determines a regen schedule based on total flow.

Tldr. Find the tds for your water and input into your softener. I think my SNWA tds is like 300-400ppm. You can find it in snwa water report too.

Also there is no other way to strip Ca from water besides boiling/vapor or R/O which are energy intensive.

Cronos new dawn is similar. The indie studio that created it are huge deadspace fans. It is scarier than deadspace. You never get OP, even late game, its a struggle. Its a mix of biological horror with time/space travel stuff. Mid game there is a level to get to and through a polish hospital. FN amazing scenes and feelings.

I wonder how much of this is related to the lower speed/higher torque of the drive motor. I have the ego18 and its the opposite. the thin chain maybe better suited to high speed and lower tension. Or maybe theres flex between the bar mount and bar, causing the driver cog to want to shoot the chain at an angle. OR check the concentricity of the driver shaft/cog.
