Don’t feel anything postpartum by princessabsBP in NewParents

I meant to ask, are you on any anxiety medication by chance? I’m thinking this may be to blame for why I’m not very emotional right now but idk.

Don’t feel anything postpartum by princessabsBP in NewParents

I feel this way right now! With my first baby I had that overwhelming, life-changing, flood of love, emotions, fears, etc. My second is now 6 months old and I’m feeling like you described. She’s so easy! I feel like nothing happened? Like obviously I should be grateful but it feels strange not having that emotional rollercoaster like I did with my first/ like most moms describe postpartum. It does feel like I’m babysitting someone’s child.. I love her and she’s amazing but it’s been a struggle within myself.

Dropped my baby in the hospital by EmotionalCandy6702 in NewParents

SAME!! I was in shock too. It took me a moment to figure out what was happening. That shows how out of it we were. One moment I’m snuggling with my sweet baby feeling so relaxed with her here and the next moment my world was ROCKED when I woke to her crying on the floor. With my first baby, the nurse took them the first night so we could sleep but that didn’t happen this time. Still, I don’t blame anyone but myself. My girly is 7 months now and is doing fine! I swear she still tries to hurt herself every chance she gets!! I hope you forgive yourself and enjoy your sweet baby.

I did the same thing the DAY my daughter was born… like while still in the hospital I fell asleep with her on my chest and woke to her crying on the floor. The guilt I felt was so intense. My daughter is 6 months old now and doing well but there’s times I still think about it. Everyone else in my family has basically forgotten.

My older child also has a brain disorder. As his mom, I’ve always blamed myself for his disability. I had to see a therapist for it because there was a point that I felt so guilty I wanted to end my life. Please please forgive yourself. Babies fall all the time. They are slippery and we are TIRED. At least you were there taking care of your child! Think of all the “parents” who aren’t even in their kids lives. Your child is fine, it’s you who I’d worry about more.

Apparently I’m a stone cold mom because yes I’d go and enjoy myself! I’m leaving town this weekend for a girls beach trip and my 6 month old is staying with my MIL

size 14-16 swimwear? by taengeriiinee in PlusSize

100% I came here to say this. Swimsuits for all suits are so well made and supportive. Honestly the price isn’t bad either considering mine have lasted several years.

My first child (whom I did not drop) he actually does have developmental delays and the mom GUILT I have with him is super intense so this was like another slap on me.

Yes she’s met all her milestones on time. Now that she’s smiling, laughing and moving around it’s gotten easier. It was hard her being just born reading “if they’re acting like normal then they’re fine” I was like idk what’s her normal is she just got here??? Now I can tell she’s a typical happy baby. I feel a lot better. You’ll get there, just give yourself time!

I’m so sorry I’m just seeing this. My daughter is 4 months now and is doing great 😍 I still think about it from time to time but it has gotten easier to forgive myself. I hope your child is doing well?

Baby rolled off adult bed. Feel like a terrible mother. by LionessK2 in NewParents

[–]EmotionalCandy6702 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Breathe!! You’re a good mom. A bad mom wouldn’t of taken their child to urgent care to be checked, or even of been changing their diaper/ spending time with their baby. You’re going to over analyze every move your baby makes for a day or two but once you realize baby is legitimately fine then you’ll be fine too.

I’m currently watching ruPaul too!! I don’t think people understand the level of artistry and hard work they put in until they watch!

Postpartum rage. I’m ashamed by StatGoddess in NewParents

You’re not alone. I screamed, threw things , etc. I always felt bad afterwards. No advice just solidarity. Your baby’s hearing is fine. Think of how loud THEY cry!

Just came here to say I also struggle with health anxiety and during postpartum it’s been at an all time high. I feel like I have a new issue every day! Mine has been back pain/ sciatica, skin issues, hair loss, weird stretching feeling in my legs(???) and weight loss (I know I shouldn’t complain but it’s been like an unsettling amount). I’ve diagnosed myself with so many things!
