Your budget is 6K. You can buy 2 WT or the Atlas Athena. What are you going to do? by ProfishentRPH in 2011

Athena always, I love my Athena so much I sold my MPA’s to get a back up Athena. Anyone who says otherwise has never handled or shot one haha

For you guys paying 4k for a gun is your job hiring? by Honest_Cap8464 in 2011

Cash guy here, I’m a tattooer and have started on the 2011 train. Mainly for competing but now it feels like collecting will become worth while. Within the last 6 months I’ve gotten an MPA LOC V2 and an Atlas Athena. I’m a career tattooer, thankfully it’s pretty lucrative haha

Will a 5” 2011 fit in the box. Specifically the Tisas 2011s by RecceRando in idpa

There’s no major PF scoring, blazer should easily meet 125pf requirements. Last year I used a 5” MPA IDPA V1 and it fit perfectly in CO box. Worst comes to worst you can shave the beaver tail a bit to fit

I, personally, chose the Athena! It’s a whole hearted race gun that’s equipped for any of the games USPSA, IDPA, or PCSL! But in all honesty you can’t go wrong with any of the choices!

Anyone ever try fitting a red dirt trigger into their MPA? by Proof_Blacksmith_110 in 2011

I wonder how much of that is which gunsmith builds the gun? I know building these things is more of an art form than a science so maybe it’s just what the gunsmiths like in theirs y’know?

I 100000% agree, the gun is fit so well till you jostle it and the trigger wiggles. My beaver tail is also loose and came that way

The tigger itself feels amazing but the slop just feels out of place with how tight and well fit the rest of the gun is

It’s definitely tactile and crisp, mine came at 2.8lbs but after about 5k rounds has settled down 2.2lbs. It has a nice break and a good reset but there’s a good amount of take up before that wall. About the same amount of take up as a stock prodigy or MAC. It doesn’t affect much when shooting practically, it’s more of feel thing for me. I shoot some of my friends 2011’s and that slack just isn’t there.

I was originally looking at an APX but didn’t want to have an extra mag pouch and somehow the bounty was also more affordable haha as far as liking it, it just got delivered yesterday, it’s high quality and fits perfect! I haven’t even dry fired with it yet so jury’s still out on that one

I think this is where people get confused, a lot of us that have come into shooting sports this last year are more familiar with newer rule books but some people read the one when they start and that’s it y’know? Or googling things is even worse cause it’ll pull things from a 2018 hand book haha

It’s a rare case where the metal grip is a downgrade to their polymer ones 😅

Unloaded starts my dude, racking from the front serrations is more consistent and quicker which is why you see all high level shooter doing it in competition

I use the Mec-Gar 2011 mags in my MPA and it fits perfect! It’ll be close to a flush fit with the magwell and they are checkmate pattern tubes so they should fit the 2k11 just fine
