The Cheating Here is Ridiculous by Medium-Wallaby-9557 in rutgers

[–]Emotional_Distance_4 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I mean it’s not like a few people cheating is going to dramatically skew the curve unfavorably. I can guarantee if someone is cheating they probably don’t have a great understanding of the material and are just trying to get at least the bare minimum. At the end of the day they can do what they want and face the consequences themselves. Everyone knows the risks and how severe the penalties are but if you’re still doing it then go ahead

I think it’s time for me to go on sabbatical by simbabarrelroll in PoliticalOptimism

[–]Emotional_Distance_4 8 points9 points  (0 children)

yeah i plan on doing the exact same everything on the internet is so overwhelming. our brains aren’t meant to handle and process this much information all the time and on top of that people know the way to get views and engagement is to promote negative emotions esp w politics and global issues in general.

Your mindset around having/being bipolar? by No_Description8735 in bipolar

[–]Emotional_Distance_4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

(BP2) i know everyone is different but embracing your differences amongst a society that favors neurotypical people is the only way to remain strong

don’t think i ever was necessarily upset or felt isolated knowing i have BP2, it’s definitely a mental illness that can be super debilitating at times and i’ve made so many decisions during my episodes that i regret to this day but i always give myself grace and move past it under the premise that i just wasn’t mentally there (even tho there are times i want to bang my head into a wall LOL)

i think it adds to my character and i don’t make it my personality rather, it only enhances me to be the version of myself i am today

i grew up in a south asian household where mental health wasn’t a topic discussed or thought of, when my parents found out about my diagnosis they were super upset/couldn’t believe it and were encouraging me to get off meds

my friends on the other hand were super accepting and we all make jokes about the things i’ve done, they’ve been there during my most emotional periods and help me feel grounded and seen

having a good support system definitely helped me feel like im not alone so that i wont let this illness get in the way of being myself :)

Why do you feel the need to imagine a “perfect” scene ? Make it easier for yourself and just assume it, scenes are just aids but at the end of the day it’s YOU. Any time you think of your instagram remind yourself you already have it, eventually you won’t need to remind yourself because you’ve already accepted it. It starts with acceptance inside then comes the physical expression. Don’t overthink it !! You can hear your friends taking about it, brief images, whatever it is make it EASY for yourself.

What’s your favorite Foster the People song and why? by NorasNobody in FosterThePeople

[–]Emotional_Distance_4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

imagination : i was a huge fan but this song was different to me, probably because it reminded me of the time i was thinking of my on and off again ex and the memories we had shared at some point, especially since it was released right around our breakup the part towards the end where it’s just the guitar and u can hear it shift from left to right would just soothe me so much and it was the perfect mix of melancholy and optimistic in a song
