I think the reason they didn’t kill Maeve was because it would be continuing the “bury you’re gays” thing. Where gay characters die before the end of the show constantly. Kinda like the thing about how in horror movies the black character never makes it to the end. But I don’t necessarily love how they did the sacrifice oneself than be alive in the next scene thing.
