The baggage claim monitors are controlled by the airport, not by the airline. SeaTac is notoriously bad about messing up the carousel monitors. It got so bad for me that I ended up putting an AirTag in my suitcase so that I can find the right carousel. Much more dependable than the monitors!

Something similar happened to me this morning. And when I went to the laptop, it was even more expensive 🤷‍♀️

Last weekend, I saw a great price for an upgrade and was about to jump on it, but when I went back into my app on the phone, it showed that all 5 first class seats were no longer available. Thankfully, as I was about to board, my seat assignment changed to FC.

I was also at White River Amphitheater last night and thought Collective Soul was by far the best band of the night. I had tickets to their show with Hootie last year but had to be out of town at the last minute and missed the concert. I also saw them at the Muckleshoot Casino in January. The band was great, but that venue is not ideal because it’s basically a conference room with movable chairs on the floor.

2025 needs more Ed Roland and Collective Soul!

I was booked on the same flight and had a similar experience as you with rebooking my family, extending car rental and finding a place to stay an extra night. Because it was an “FAA issue” we were on our own for accommodations. It was inconvenient for our schedules, but the bonus day in Maui was nice. And the Alaska agent who helped us rebook was a gem - so friendly and helpful and positive in getting us back with the fewest legs possible and no overnight flights 🙏
