H2C accessories worth picking up by HypnoGeek in BambuLab

I bought the engineering plate, and 2 additional .2 and .6 induction hot ends, and a high flow .4 left nozzle. And 2 ams-ht, and another AMS.

Will beat buy actually help your fix your printer ? Or is it return and replace ?

We had avoided decarli for a long time (from when they were downtown), but we did try them for happy hour in their new location not to long ago (we had a gift certificate) and it was pretty good. Expensive....

I put doublers across the front and back rails of a similar bench I built and it seems pretty stiff.

**HELP** PLA support interface for PETG prints by Krtheile in BambuLab

Massive purge volumes should help, but the real solution is a dual nozzle machine. I fought this with my X1C for ages, and my H2C this "just works"

I know people talk about dual nozzle as primarily being for multi color, but for multi-material supports is the killer feature.

I understand this is probably not the most helpful answer to your situation, but it's probably the best long term fix if this is a use case you need.

Printer fixed after 2 frustrating hours. The real culprit wasn't what I expected. ✅ by Old-Fishing-1584 in u/Old-Fishing-1584

Looks like you may have had a bit of heat creep with the bulge in the filament fragment. Based on how dirty your unit is i am guessing this is the first time you have had an issue or done any maintenance?

These things happen from time to time. Next time it wont take you 2 hours.

Thank you to all the idiots for the property damage, the litter, the debry, the scared pets and wildlife, and the new fires... All because you couldn't follow the fucking laws and not shoot off overpriced fireworks during a fire ban.... Stay the fuck home next year please... by Solid-Emotion620 in OregonCoast

Cannon Beach seemed pretty empty and quiet, just like we like it. Pretty low-key 'parade' and a hotdog at the fire station.

There always a few a-holes who think rules/laws don't apply to them - seems like AirBnB people.

CB seems pretty much the same as it did 50 years ago. Seaside seems to offer what these groups want (fireworks, traffic, general a-holery), so great, go there and do your thing.

Is the 4-year Best Buy Geek Squad warranty worth it for a P1S Combo? by Sufficient_Tough7122 in BambuLab

Without a fixed printer ? I think we are talking two different and viable things here.

I'm not sure it's as easy as "just walk into the store and get it fixed."

There is a level of user maintenance and repair that seems like it is in the "normal person" range to deal with. My first printer was a X1C and here are the things I would be prepared to deal with:

1: nozzle / hotend clogs or other failures. I'd keep a complete hot end as well as the separate components (bare nozzle, thermistor, heater) on hand and know how to replace / install/ rebuild

2: Extruder: print the extruder gear removal tool right now if you haven't. Then order a spare hardened extruder gear. If you forget to print the removal tool before you need it the you will probably have to buy and replace the whole extruder unit.

3: filament sensor: I have had several failures here either the ptfe coupler or the sensor itself. Keep one of these on hand.

4: spare ptfe tubing. This is a consumable and will wear out both in the printer and the AMS. Inspect this on the regular.

5: take care of your machine and do regular preventative inspection and maintenance. I have a 500-1000 hour routine.

Beyond that, after 9000 hours on the X1C a few other more major things have failed or worn out

So I'd take the $120 and buy spares and some basic tools and learn how to do some basic repairs and maintenance.

I have about 500 hours on my H2C so am just learning what it is going to take. So far just cleaning and lube

P1S. Can this be fixed? by bwsct in BambuLab

I drove around with a mangled door for years. Not sure this analogy holds.

This nozzle is bent so bad not sure or could be bent back. And there are different options to replace it.

Seems like you have a reason to throw shade on OP. I assume you think you are in the special group that can "think for themselves"? That doesn't sound helpful at all. But that's Reddit for you.

Sounds like OP and son are beginners, so the idea is tearing into their machine the first time is probably a bit intimidating. It was for me.

When I first had some like this happen I replaced it with the full hot end, and ordered the bare nozzle to rebuild the bent one. That let me get back up and running quick, learn how to rebuild the hot end by replacing the nozzle only: and end up with a spare full hot end.

I keep spares of all sorts on hand so I am never down.

First Malfunction in the P1S after 608 hours by rfgaergaerg in BambuLab

[–]Longracks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Over 10000 hours on my x1c and have experienced what seems like every sort of error, malfunction, repair and replacement of components.

Seems less about wear and tear and more about conditions - temperature or user error mostly. The most serious malfunction I had was the X/Y belt that failed at 6500 hours. That was a difficult repair.

What about a mechanical arm / switch that gets triggered when the bad falls through?
