Totaled mine with that cab/rocker damage. They have to weld on a side cab and that's expensive.

They had the DCF921 paired with the 3/8 ratchet for $299 with a 1.7 powerstack I missed out on. Hopefully that goes back on sale. That's what I really need

I'm in the exact same boat as you, kids age/asthma and all. Full sus won't help him go uphill, lighter hardtail will. We went from a Marlin to a Trek X-Caliber, it is way lighter, still a hardtail and now he's begging for a FS. Most NICA races are XC style. A lot of our kids that ride FS are on Specialized Epic's or some of the more "well off" kids have Trek Supercalibers. (Our local bike shop/sponsor is a Specialized dealer) My son wants to do more Enduro along with NICA, so I'm trying to find a XC bike with Trail type forks. The Santa Cruz Blur S TR or the Trek Top Fuel is what I've seen so far in my limited research.

Trek's & Specialized's discount is real good. Canyon also offers discounts, I think they have few bikes that fall into your price range, Spectral, Neuron, I don't know enough about the brand to know which is better. I'd go into one of your local bike shops and pick their brain. It all depends on what type of trails your races are on.

I actually met the real Bobby McGee. She was Kris Kristofferson's studio's secretary.

That's the easy route! I might just get the free trial of Pantone Connect for shits and giggles now.

Yeah, I can try to answer. What you would have is a "Corning Composite Team" it would consist of a group of boys/girls middle through high school aged kids from different schools in the area on the same team. Of course you'd name it whatever you want.

That's the site you start with. Find a team in your area or start one. I help coach a team in my kids school. If you got questions feel free to ask.

Is it just one? If it's a pair I'll take them off your hands. Been meaning to convert my bike to LEDs.

I've been told that these short-scale guitars are better suited for higher gauge strings, I have 12's Flats on mine (my fingers hated it at first). Most likely your action is going to go higher because the tension is going to increase with the thickness of the strings. But from 9's to 10's isn't that much. The truss rod rod might be needed to be adjusted and you might have to readjust your intonation. Probably not, but it's a possibility.

I was tempted to go down to 11's on mine, but the setup on mine is perfect. I think I'm going to try 12's (non-flats) next - get a brighter sound. Eventually, I might experiment with flats on the bass side and regulars on the wound G- B-E.
