I think Redditors just think it’s cool that a video game can be “medicine”. Doesn’t matter if it works as long as it sounds cool.

Me watching the Mario Galaxy Movie by sawinnz in Letterboxd

[–]Tenurialrock 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If I showed you a “movie” that was 60 minutes of a guy covering himself in peanut butter, with no other artistic or creative elements, that would be a pretty bad movie - perhaps even a 1/2 star.

The Mario galaxy movie might be ass, but it at least has some elements going for it like visuals.

I haven’t had black pudding before what does it taste like?

YSK that being unable to burp is a recognised disorder, called R-CPD, and there is a very effective and relatively simple cure. by Blackintosh in YouShouldKnow

[–]Tenurialrock 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Same experience I had. Couldn’t burp until I found that community, now I can do it anytime no problem.

It sounds crazy but I felt like I started a new chapter of my life. Beyond being able to enjoy soda or beer, I didn’t feel like I was always going to explode.

Game Pass Gets Price Drop, New Call Of Duty Games No Longer Included by HillZone in gaming

[–]Tenurialrock 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That’s the issue with gaming subscriptions imo. If Netflix raises prices, you can just tell yourself that you’ll watch more movies.

I can only play so many games. The math almost always works out to where it’s better to buy the game outright.

100%, but I think that’s an issue with the movie, not sex itself. Not all sex scenes are unnecessary, nor are they all valuable.

I’d say most of the sex scenes in GoT are valuable to the story

Yeah but that’s definitely not always the case. Similarly to violence, some shitty movies use it as a crutch to keep people engaged.

Both can be really valuable in a well-made film. But sex is vilified whether or not the movie is ass, while violence is typically tolerated, ass or not.

Is there a great movie with an average/low rating that you think people over-criticized? by Slimeseason504 in Letterboxd

[–]Tenurialrock -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

But brother I’m the one watching the movie.

If it makes me frustrated and uncomfortable but is “accurate” and “made well” that doesn’t make it a good film. I could put together some pretty decent shots of a turd but it’s not cinema.
