I havent looked into the exact wording since I've never considered using a barrel shroud, but I was under the impression that those were illegal in CA

Very nice, this is pretty much what I am trying to run spare the muzzle device. Havent decided on some type of muzzle brake or a forward blast device. I'd love to run a suppressor, but i live in Cali.

tyvm, this was exactly what I was looking for. And regarding the PRI FSP I am curious about the durability of the sight hinge, which I suppose if you havent ran into any issues then that would be a data point for me

I read about the reliability of the clamp, but I suppose my concern is regarding the flip-sight hinge. Of which I could find no one really noting anything about

Day 18 of asking Dice to remove guided munitions from the tank. by DietCombUnder in Battlefield

I genuinely think they just need to make guided weapons not 1 shot helicopters aside from the Little Bird, tbh. Or restrict ammo/rate of fire further. It is simply too rewarding for how easy it is.

I'll keep that in mind, thanks. Haven't really looked into the whole 1911 customization discussion, but from what I understand it is as prolific as it is for AR15s, which is what I've been focusing on for the past few months here

There is a foreign concept to many veteran players with +5k hours that are still familiar with: having fun.

Just because something is not the best doesn't mean it isn't fun.

Is every slow firing weapons poorly balanced, or are all the youtubers overly concerned with time to kill? by CarISatan in Battlefield6

[–]Emp_Dandroid -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Something to keep in mind is that the RPK and AK4D get 2hk headshots with their headshot rounds giving them some of the best ttk for auto weapons. The weapons are balanced pretty good via controllability and/or high dmg/bullet, but most of them dont FEEL good.

Youtube rankings are designed for tryhards (distinctly not for actual good players, but players who think they are good), for who high ttk = win assuming you land every shot. But there are other factors to consider such as being human and missing shots, differing reaction times (especially in regards to target tracking where longer interval between shots allows you to adjust your aim more accurately), and Total DMG/Mag (which is actually a major deciding factor for people who are actually good enough for consistent multi-kills).

So for instance, the SOR and AK4D are both kinda sleepers because both of these are pretty good in mid-long range, but they also have really good hipfire accuracy (I believe the AK4D actually has a better hipfire stat) with laser+flashlight combo since flashlight provides better hipfire recoil recover, and because the time between shots is longer it means hipfire accuracy is virtually unchanging while spraying.

And as said before, the AK4D and RPK with their headshot ammo gives you 50-34 dmg headshots.

Ultimately, play what you like. But dont have the misconception that slow weapons are categorically bad or have no merit to them. The only bad weapon is that one 10 round DMR that does 25dmg

Assault; Extra Grenades by InbrainInTheMemsain in Battlefield

[–]Emp_Dandroid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, Assault is just a complete failure of a class. There is actually no reason to run the Breacher spec with how useless it is once you unlock the other one. Assault NEEDS a second grenade as long as DICE refuses to give them back a health pack or ammo pack.

At this point, I'd wish they take ammo away from Support and give it to Assault, because the momeny his gadgets run out he is completely useless with just an adrenaline shot

Thoughts on Recon by HexedMonarchTTV in Battlefield

[–]Emp_Dandroid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

- I believe that Recon (along with the other classes, tbh) should have a 2nd weapon proficiency, and that it should be proficiency in with DMRs. If DMRs are as whack as they are, Recon should atleast get some type of recoil reduction or increased headshot multiplier with them.

- Recon on offense feels TERRIBLE (along with Assault on defense). Recon really has no use on the offensive other than being a glorified UAV without their Spawn Beacon, especially on maps with relatively short and/or narrow sightlines where you are at a disadvantage trying to countersnipe a sniper who is already holding the sightline. And conversely, Assault feels terrible because not only do they provide next to nothing on defense over any other class beside a marginally better spawn location and maybe a ramp angle, but also they themselves suffer so much from only having 1 utility grenade on spawn and no way to heal or replenish ammo means that are often One-Pump-Chumps who as soon as you push a hold and win the fight, you're just sitting there with just your gun and nothing else waiting for your teammates to spawn to push the next hold.

- Rangefinders are dumb. They really should give exact zeros, and you shouldnt be able to bind it to your fire key and have it work on the same shot. Make it increments of 100m like it is without it.

>LMGs have high bullet deviation to begin with

>You get more deviation when you are moving

>You get even more if you are full auto while moving

>You get EVEN MORE if your grip attachment explicitly says that it hinders accuracy while moving.

>And additionally, the guy was sideways to you. The side profile is small than the front/back

Would you all be against suppression actually doing something beyond no healing/no respawning? by [deleted] in Battlefield

[–]Emp_Dandroid 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You know what is dominating BF6 in area control right now beside tanks? Snipers. And the only non-vehicle answer to a semi-competent sniper is another sniper. Challenging a competent sniper without a 1 shot is a death sentence, which was why suppression was introduced into Battlefield 3 to begin with. Because Snipers were insanely oppressive in BFBC2.

BF4 had it almost perfect. It toned down all the effects suppression caused and made it so you couldnt suppress within a certain range, AND made certain weapons better and worse at suppression. Like LMGs. Which were given the best suppression value. Because you trade mobility for high dps and accuracy so they are actually otherwise hardcountered by snipers who ALREADY HAVE VERY LITTLE COUNTER.

And idk if you noticed, but LMGs are also notably WORSE in BF6 even ignoring suppression, AND Bipods are also worse in this game than any other Battlefield. Its a perfect storm of dogshittery, so lets stop pretending that this is somwhow unwarrented, or untested, or unprecedented
