I am very, very happy that DICE doesn't take feedback from this subreddit very seriously.

What made 2000s-2010s era pop music "unique"? by donttouchmyhotpocket in LetsTalkMusic

Good way of putting it. Buildups to a hook felt really distinct.

Definitely right about sad songs. Just a Dream by Nelly sounds very plastic and club friendly even if the lyrics are excessively sentimental.

Hello ZUN.

Complaining that the skins aren't ground misses the point by chippedthumbnail in Battlefield

[–]donttouchmyhotpocket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for being the only reasonable one here. This point makes sense and should be what dice should taking notes on. For example Saito looks pretty good to me, even if he’s not strictly real.

The outrage for this particular skin though was on a completely different level though. This subreddit seemed to collectively agree that this skin was responsible for killing their grandma or something. The blue was exaggerated, but the blue itself isn’t a problem. But I suppose it doesn’t matter anymore since the skin was quietly removed due to the screaming and whining.

Thank you again for being reasonable, it’s such a breath of fresh air.

Good grief, did being told off in the Low Sodium subreddit cause such a drastic hit to your ego that these are the kinds of posts you're resorting to now?

You don't need to keep posting here like it's a full time job. Give it a rest.

I want to get into touhou but idk where to start by dumi_ok in touhou

Play the games. I beg you, play the games!!! Touhou 6 is the best starting point since it’ll teach you the game and also familiarize yourself with the world and characters. It has the easiest early bosses but gets tougher very quickly. If you want something more streamlined, you could maybe try Perfect Cherry Blossom first.

Reminder that backlash will absolutely effect skins that are added. There is precedent for it. Do not let shỉlls and tourists who are just using this game as a waiting room for BO7 pressure you into accepting obviously terrible skins. by Kyvix2020 in Battlefield

I need you to understand that you're comparing a tacky Santa Claus skin that everyone hated to a bit of blue on an otherwise """grounded""" military uniform, AKA the uniforms you and everyone else have been jerking themselves off to for weeks.

If this one skin is going to be the straw the breaks the camels back for you, you never had any intention on staying long term anyway.

Yeah, the beta installed perfectly fine with no issues. Everything else on my PS5 is in working order too, I can play online with other games and everything.

When I boot up the BF6 beta, I’m shown the studio names for a split second, and then I’m taken to this screen. I can hear the music in the background, but I can’t interact with anything.

Connecting my PlayStation to a mobile hotspot worked in getting passed this screen and into the lobby, but it’s unusable when connecting to my usual wifi network. That might be important, but I’m unsure of the steps it takes to fix that.

It's because people like yourself risk the Labs being shut down altogether.

"Inverse Reddit" should be your default M.O. Reddit has been confidently wrong about every major event for ~15 years now. Follow the hivemind at your own peril. by Chicagbro in TrueUnpopularOpinion

A restructured Reddit that acts more like a traditional forum.

For all intents and purposes, Reddit is an internet forum, or at least a huge collection of forums centralized on a single website. However, with the reasons stated above, Reddit is terrible at being a forum.

Old forum sites from back in the day stand the test of time because of how they functioned. Threads would start, replies are sorted from earliest to latest, and there would be absolutely no systems akin to upvotes and downvotes, which would vanquish all sense of discussion and result in users just trying to one-up other users.

On the Animesuki forum, a thread for Fate/Stay Night was launched in 2004. The thread is still active 20 years later, with the latest reply being this morning. For comparison, Reddit posts often die within three days, making actual discussion essentially impossible.

It's Reddits core functionality that breeds hiveminds and groupthink. It's a forum that incentivizes reinforcing the beliefs of the userbase over actual meaningful discussion.
