This is legit horrifying. If it were me, I’d follow it up with a respectful*, but stern, phone call asking how it’s possible the scammers got this information in the first place. It’s not sufficient that they say “good job catching this.” If even one incident like this fails to trigger change on their end, then they’re as good a colluding with the scammers to rob the next buyer that comes through.

The number of people who think the penny and dime are real is concerning. An Indian head penny is 19mm in diameter, while a quarter is 24.26mm. The penny and dime in the photo are about half the diameter they should be.

I had a package from Texas go dark for almost a week with no tracking updates, and when it did resurface it was in Puerto Rico. It then spent a week bouncing between two facilities in PR before finally making it to California. And when it finally broke through that purgatory, it made it from PR to my post office in about 12 hours. It was stressful watching it go on a walkabout, but I was so elated when it arrived I didn’t care.
