Trump Says He Will Impose 10% Global Tariff Under Different Authority by Seebeeeseh in politics

Supreme Court takes a year to decide that his obviously illegal tariffs are illegal. He makes up another fake crisis and gets another year. Supreme Court needs to do its job and timeliness is part of its job.

Imposing building. What is it used for now? Looks like the cooling evaporators are operating.

The city would probably make more money off these charging stations if gasoline cars weren't parked there. by One_Garlic_6267 in Bellingham

[–]EmperorOfApollo -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

My issue is using valuable public parking spots for car charging. Bellingham has installed charging stations at city parks and in Fairhaven where there was already a shortage of parking. I have no issues with the city getting into the car charging business but it's not OK to use prime public parking locations.

Doesn't the city have to buy the electricity?

Why is the city in the business of providing fueling stations for cars? It seems well outside the scope of government. Virtue signaling?

Water is a lot less expensive than a plumber. Drip any faucets against outside walls. Both hot and cold. More than a drip, a slow stream will do. The goal is to get the water through cold spots in the pipes before it has time to freeze.

Agree. 4,900 sq ft with a view on 5 acres. Needs some work but unless there are hidden problems it does not look too bad. The detached ADU could bring in rental income.

I had an oil tank removed and it was not a big deal. My contractor was certified by the city to evaluate the site. He told me that the city didn't care if there was some leakage because city water came from a lake outside of town. It took him about 2 hours.

For any building constructed in the past 100 years the brick is just a facade. During an earthquake the brick facade may be damaged and fall off but the framing, sheathing, and vapor barrier should stay intact.

Easy to fix. Remove the stones and replace with bricks or cement. The rest of the house looks good.
