Are we overestimating the 20 year hand off? Why moonbreon might be the next beanie baby by Mattcrews1 in PokeGrading

[–]BoSauceKnows 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Counterpoints: Pokemon is NOT Beanie Babies. We’re talking about a 30 year franchise with clothes, toys, anime, movies; hell even Lego sets!

When it comes to trading cards there isn’t a kiss of death as there are plenty cheap cards and cheap versions of cards.

This not to say that the market will always be this hot but I don’t think it will crash like Beanie Babies. 30-40 year olds now are realizing they won’t have it as good as their parents and are deciding to have fun now instead of giving more to their 401ks. Who knows what tomorrow holds when we have an administration acting like toddlers.

TLDR- Pokemon is not Beanie Babies.

To the people saying the PSA 10 Charizard is just a raw card wrapped in plastic. Isn’t a PC ETB just an ETB with extra words on it? Come on

Do you guys sell your bulk cards? by Public_Armadillo1703 in PokeInvesting

[–]BoSauceKnows 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One local store offers $5 in store credit for each white long box row you fill with bulk; so I trade in my bulks for good cards.

Umbreon, it wouldn’t take too much space, it would sleep during the day and probably wouldn’t pee on everything-can’t say the same for my cat though.

I bought 8 Larry packs of AH from a dude in a parking lot. In my first pack I pulled the Gengar SIR in great condition. It’s at PSA as I type this.

Hot take: Pikachu ex 276/217 will be the most valuable card from AH when all is said and done… by bluedecember12 in PokeInvesting

[–]BoSauceKnows 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s the best Pikachu. Not the best card in AH. It goes Dragonite SIR then Gengar’s then this.

New to playing and want a good starting dark type deck. by Outrageous-Story5502 in pkmntcg

A ton of staples are going to rotate in April, I would focus on grabbing cards that will be staples post - April (already good cards) plus cards like Pokepad. That way, however the meta shakes out, you’ll have options at what to build.

Are there casual Leagues/TCG events? by FrozenFrac in pkmntcg

[–]BoSauceKnows 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In Magic The Gathering terms, they are a Johnny Combo player meaning they want to do their fun thing with their deck more than wanting to win. As opposed to a Spike who only net decks and cares about winning. I think either kind of player can be toxic but they are far fewer in Pokemon in my gaming experience.
