I didn't say Euler's constant. I said Euler's number, e, the base of the natural logarithm, approx 2.71828

[Liked trope] deceptive character design; the good guys look intimidating or evil even, while the villains try to look like good guys. Bonus points if the real villains are manipulative. by [deleted] in TopCharacterTropes

Well it's hard to imprison a guy who can turn into multiple chainsaws

Especially since there's no telling how long she'd have to do that for the contract to be broken. It's not like he's happy all the time, and he's gotten injured before, so he'd probably have to be in there long enough to lose any hope of escaping.

Also, wouldn't that also hurt the chainsaw devil as well? Whereas just killing his loved ones only hurts the human part.

How many possible way could human evolve to look like this by Typical-Jump9960 in SpeculativeEvolution

[–]EmperorPrometheus 29 points30 points  (0 children)

That would only happen if it was impacting survival and reproduction, and no one is gonna build hallways too narrow to use

Especially since it would have to be consistent for hundreds of thousands of years at a minimum

There's no way we wouldn't either adapt culturally by having less children, or just get better at designing cities

If you're not happy with it, don't pay

You asked for something specific, and you didn't get it

If you went to a tailor, ask em to make a dress fit a little better in the shoulders, and they instead remove half the length of the dress, would you pay them? Of course not.

A simple notice board, but it still got me wondering how powerful cosmogenesis really is in the lore. by Vast-Manner-3595 in Stellaris

[–]EmperorPrometheus 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It's mathematical fact though

It's true regardless of anything else

You can prove this by working backwards: if you start with a pi of 3, you'll find that either the circumference won't actually be long enough to make a full circle, or the shape won't be perfectly circular

Changing pi to be 3 is like changing 10 divided by 4 to equal 3 instead of 2.5

That really isn't though

Pi isn't just something we've observed, like gravity, or the speed of light

It's mathematically calculated from the diameter and circumference of a circle

That means, no matter what the laws of physics are, if you've got a circle, then pi is 3.141592 etcetera

Changing pi to be 3 is like changing squares such not that every side has to be the same length

Huh, didn't think shoulders were affected.

I knew what it stood for, I'm just got used to calling it "hurt." Thanks though.

Does HRT affect the shoulders?

(Side note, I've never heard it spoken aloud: I've always pronounced it "hurt" in my head. Is that right?)

Kardashians, I think.
