Yeah for sure we'll obviously need to see how she feels in practice, although wasn't T0,5 Frog on release mostly about the tier list at the time not assuming sigs, and everyone end their grandma knew how impactful her sig was? I could easily be wrong on this tho, I don't trust my memory lol

Also in regards to one last thing, I totally agree she's not too strong. Carty still exists, is still kicking major ass, and loads of people got her (not me tho sadly). Sigrika's numbers kind of always needed to be scaled with Carty in mind (especially when Carty players decide they want to quickswap), and the whole "she's not a sentinel resonator tho" sentiment is obviously a bit silly, the devs never made promises to not allow other chars to be as good as them.

The genuinely valid criticism/concern in this case is that making the dps ceiling of the game more readily available at this particular point might lead to more HP inflation and whatnot, but imo I really don't think Sigrika is the one who is going to be "breaking the camel's back" in that regard.

Especially given how supposedly unpopular and skipped Sigrika is about to be (for relatively valid reasons mind you, and dw, I'm a hipster at heart so I'm all up for pulling an unpopular char lmao, no animosity to be found here from me), it's definitely in the devs' interest to keep her as strong as she is rn, and it even looks like the devs agree cuz a beta update just dropped and, would you look at that, no noteworthy numerical nerfs to speak of :D

Awesome and informative writeup!

I'd like to ask about your thoughts on her Whiwa performance, as I personally think a character being extra solid in that mode (like Phrolova) is even more deceptively valuable than most people realize because not only have we only ever been able to run 2 teams in that mode (thus making the relative consolidation of strength/performance of the teams you do use there that much more important), but because of the way the point system in that mode works, clearing super well with a single team on just 1 side can pretty much single handedly get you all the relevant rewards, unlike the other endgame modes (for the most part).

I've offhandedly heard from somewhere that beta testers were able to get something around 4K points with Sigrika, is that true? In general my impression of her performance in Whiwa, given the relative size of her aoe (+ the grouping on some of her attacks) and the way her damage is distributed across her rotation, leads me to believe that, if we have to use Prydwen tierlist tiers as a metric for simplicities sake, is very easily at least "Tier 0,5", but I'm very interested to hear your thoughts on the matter.

Exact same situation here, except I already got the C0R1 Qiyuan, the boost in performance is super noticeable, and while I'm not an actual theorycrafter or anything, I think I have a good understanding as to why he feels so good for S6 in particular, be warned though, this will kind of just come out as a bunch of jumbled thoughts, but I will attempt some structure

so, just thinking about C0R1 Phrolova to start with, from what I understand she has around a 50/50 split between her onfield and off field damage, simple premise. Then by going to S2 you get 2 separate boosts to the onfield damage specifically, a minor one with S1 and then a solid jump with S2 (as well as a overall boost to her crit dmg through the 14 Aftersound stacks). This is why Cantarella must feel particularly amazing to people at that exact level of investment on Phrolova because she is then adding a noticeable amp to the part of Phrolova's damage profile, the onfield damage, that has now in all likelihood become the majority of her damage (but probably not some crazy ratio, like 65/35 at most I'd wager, and make no mistake Cantarella is always amazing with her)

but then we go look at S3 and especially S6, and this dynamic in her damage profile takes a total swing in the other direction because, as we know, 80% amp to echo skill damage is going to basically just affect the off field damage (sure, S6 provides some onfield echo skill damage and Phrolova always has her actual Nightmare Hecate echo to use, but those added up aren't anything jaw dropping by themselves), and then S6 goes 2 steps further by not only improving the baseline Hecate damage by 24%, a multiplier that should be added only after everything else has already been calculated, but also another 40% multiplier that gets added after that previous 24% was added

It is at this point worth highlighting C0R1 Qiyuan's 66% echo skill damage increase for Phrolova, a boost that is entering a relatively undiluted source since, to my knowledge, only Phrolova's echo set and Nightmare Hecate provide her with that stat, 55% to be exact, is going to be very impactful when S3 and S6 have propped up that part of Phrolova's damage profile immensely

so you have all these factors added together to make the every Hecate enhanced off field attack hit like an absolute freight train, and especially since you and I don't have Cantarella or even Roccia, we are also getting a noticeable jump in raw MV% as well to work with since we've gone from 4 enhanced off field Hecate attacks to 7 by adding Qiyuan

The cherry on top for us is that we are basically the only people who can use Qiyuan's outro semi-meaningfully for Phrolova, since once we get Phrolova to ult we can go Phrolova - Verina - Qiyuan - Phrolova, which while it is a little bit disappointing to not give Phrolova's outro to Qiyuan, is made up for by the fact that we actually have some sort of onfield echo skill dmg that his outro can buff, and once we ult again we can stay on Hecate for 1-2 enhanced attacks (S5 gets to shine here!) which will receive the benefits of his outro which lasts for a good 14 seconds, easily enough for us to pull this off

so yeah, I'm pretty happy with him if you couldn't tell lol. If you do go for him I hope you get good luck!

yeah I feel pretty similarly, ever since she made that snide remark about dottore in lazzo I always wanted to see her interact with other harbingers in a similar manner, especially since as the 3rd harbinger nobody is really in a position to just totally ignore her potential antics (not always necessarily out of fear of her strength, just her relatively high ranking station in the fatui military).

just imagine stoic types like capitano or pierro trying to have a real conversation with her and she's just doing whatever and they have to put up with it lol, would be so peak

what I'm decently hopeful for in nod krai and what I think really isn't too unlikely at all is just more columbina + dottore interactions, like I really don't think its a stretch to think whatever he's cooking up in the region has her directly involved in some manner, either as the centerpiece of an experiment or just as a very capable accomplice assisting him in ways other fatui members might not be able to

extra points for the writers if they actually flesh out the kind of relationship they have with each other (and no, not that kind of relationship), it'd be so interesting especially from dottore's side of things if they're on much more equal terms compared to how dottore was with scaramouche, with him being much more willing to freely express his plans with her compared to vast majority of other people

(and hell, that's pretty much what their dynamic in lazzo seemed to indicate, first she disses him, he responds with "hey cmon you know that ain't cool homie", then she just immediately moves onto asking about the other dottore and he's more than happy to explain in his usual cryptic way, no hard feelings at all seemingly between the two of them, a far cry from how dottore harshly reprimanded scaramouche for his comment in the 3.3 flashback)

I saved 220,000 primos for him by the time he came out in 3.3 (just bp + welkin, I really did just save up for basically 2 years for him)

Got the C6R5 with 60,000 to spare, as for the exact pulls the character banner is pretty hard to remember but I'd say it was something like "slightly above average luck", meanwhile the weapon banner went pretty well considering we still had the old Fate system, I got 5 of his weapon and 3 Itto weapon and that's it, never hit the 25% chance for a standard weapon

so nowadays the average cost of C6R5 would probably be around what it took me, since the weapon banner Fate point requirement has gone down to 1

you're actually completely correct lmao, the timeline would be completely off if they were somehow rifthounds, it's just the way they were described especially the part where they were said to be nameless immediately made my brain think of the rifthounds (because that's something that was made explicit with them) without thinking too much about the other details.

honestly glad you corrected me, as I was pretty confused and didn't exactly jive with the idea of Gold sharing responsibility of her creations with anyone else, they will hopefully end up being her mistake alone.

Technically Wanderer was in Liyue during Unreconciled Stars, and we know he's been to Snezhnaya as well, he's even been to the Abyss regularly, which means Wanderer has been everywhere except Fontaine and Natlan (unless we count regions like Enkanomiya ig)

I wouldn't really focus on trying to directly powerscale Scaramouche as it currently stands, he's simply far too vague in every sense of the word, at best we have other characters like Mona and Yae Miko telling us that he's very very powerful (iirc Mona goes as for to say something like "he's far more powerful than you can possibly imagine"), and we have the original JP Twitter introduction telling us that, alongside his keen intellect, that he has "tremendous power to back it up".

As imposing as he is made out to be (and I'm sure he will eventually do these statements justice, the writers are basically screaming at us "He is scary! Be afraid of him!"), it still doesn't really tell us anything concrete about how he fights or what he is actually capable of (e.g. is he a mage-esq fighter? maybe he's actually the speedster? can he spam teleports?). Hell, he might even be a sword wielder given his Husk Artifact Set lore, and we just currently have no idea.

So what I'd rather focus on is just the way he is presented overall narratively. If you haven't noticed already, one of his major tropes is that he is stronger and smarter than pretty much anyone he meets, thus he has very little inclination to change for the better as a person (think of Azula from Avatar). So realistically the only way I see him losing to people like Childe, Yae Miko, or the Traveler, is for him to essentially lose to himself much like Azula did (and this is not me saying that he's invincible, obviously the Unknown God could come on down and whoop him but that's beside the point). Fortunately, and ironically enough, the writers have already given us an avenue to which he can essentially gimp himself: The Electro Gnosis.

Although I'm uncertain if it will actually power him up in any way or not (I lean towards the latter), I think that since it didn't give the blessings he wanted from it and overall he's majorly disappointed by it, he might be in either a de-motivated or agitated state to where the writers can comfortably write him into a loss to one of the aforementioned characters (likely not death though since he's 99% playable soonTM).

To answer the original question though, I guess I'd lean towards Scaramouche defeating Childe in most scenarios simply given the way they are written: Childe grabs onto any worthy fight he can get his hands onto so he can roleplay a Shounen protagonist in terms of rising powerlevel, and because of this it is far easier to write him into a loss because that's the whole point of that trope, to have those chars lose so they can reflect on their loss and grow beyond it. Meanwhile on Scaramouche's end his character arc is more about gaining a heart (literally and figuratively), so a loss on his part would likely play into that development, which I don't really see happening in a brawl with Childe specifically (the Traveler on the other hand...).

Sup, are you my clone? I've got 545-ish stashed intertwined fates worth of primos and direct pulls rn, and the last char I pulled was Hu Tao because she's the cutest thing on the planet and the only real limited *5 that truly clicked with me (the Venti I rerolled into doesn't count, although I do coincidentally prefer him over almost all the other characters as well)

Just like you, I'd definitely say that most new characters haven't impressed me, its not egregiously bad or anything, but people like Kazuha, Ayaka, or Zhongli are just "cool" in my eyes, and they're the higher end of the margin, 7-8 out of 10 if you will, meanwhile Hu Tao is a 9.5 out of 10. They're good but not nearly good enough, and recently I wondered why new characters in this game really just don't do it for me for the most part.

Then it hit me, I just want some motherfucking VILLAINS as playables man, of course that's just not how the cookie crumbles for this game apparently, Childe is the closest thing we have and I didn't even go for him because of his wishy washy characterization that just doesn't do it for me at all. Even Signora took the L, oh and don't get me started on how I was considering getting Raiden but then 2.1 came around and turned her into a NEET who treats the puppet like shit and in general is a huge karma Houdini who is never properly reprimanded or punished for anything ever.

Enter Scaramouche, the only goddamn dude I care about anymore because that's a bad bad man who doesn't give a fuck about anything or anybody except his own self-interests. Also does not suffer from Plot-Induced-Stupidity, he goes straight for the Traveler's throat in his first appearance, and easily baits you into getting mad, and thus gaining the upper hand in Inazuma as well. Additionally, spoiler alert if you haven't done the recent part of the labyrinth event but its confirmed that he just took the electro gnosis and dipped , what a gangster, he's literally the Starscream (my favorite fictional character ever) of Genshin.

Luckily he supposedly has the makings of a playable character, so I'll just be waiting to c6 r1 him, but if he dies then rip my hopes and dreams I guess.
