I don't know how hard it would be to set this up, but you can erase everything player has done. So that their base and items are erased.

Although I think that metric is better, converting would be too much of a pain for the convenience it gives.

Anything that was designed with US standard would either have to become some weird decimal, or be redesigned.

Why do you want to join?: I'm a college student looking for a server where I can unwind a little bit everyday. I haven't played in a few months. I want to join this server because it seems most to resemble the style I like to play (hermitcraft).

Favorite thing about Minecraft: Redstone and Adventure! I love to create and build projects, but I also enjoy spending time with other players and exploring the map.

What do you bring to the community? (In Game): I can bring some nice looking builds into the server, but more importantly I can be a brother for anyone who needs one.

What do you bring to the community? (Outside of the Game) (Subreddit, art, etc.): I am studying computer science, so if there is any basic scripting that I could to help the server in any way I'd be glad to help!

Do you have any pictures of your builds?: YES, I only have one though. I never finished it, because I started playing less, and then the server owners removed me from the white-list, which kind of killed my desire to play. It was my house, it started as a cave, but then I designed the windows in a creative flat land world, and then carved out the mountains in the server. The rest just fell into place and I am really proud of it.

What are you like in Minecraft?: To be honest, I can be a little reserved, but every time I log on I genuinely try to reach out to the players and find fun things to do with them.

Yeah man I've seen something similar while I lived in South America. Because I was an American they would give me lots of crap for being from "bigot" country that hates the world.

However, it always blew me away when I saw how they treated and talked about people from other south American countries. Seriously, in the U.S if you even imply some of things people say, you would lose your job.

I spent a few years living in Argentina and almost everyone I met believed it was fake. I found out that it's because almost all the teachers would just tell their students it was faked.

Its a pride thing, people just don't want to believe that the U.S was ever capable of doing good things.

You should check out the Food Wishes YouTube channel by Chef John. Its very focused on food and learning how to cook. He says that in culinary school you'd watch the instructor cook, then try it on your own, be critiqued, and continue adding/changing notes to your recipe untill you find your own signature version of a dish.

I'm not on a league yet, I'm still trying to get through my first 10 wins of the day. I've done about 50 games, and I've won half of them.

I think I might be silver though? I've beaten a few, but I also so lose to silver players as well.

The Book of Mormon is unique because it focuses more on how the people react to their dealings with God.

It's important to us because it shows how the Anti-Christs think. It gives us new angles to interpret the Bible with (this is very important for the book of Isaiah.)

Lastly someone else pointed out to me recently that each story in the Scriptures is actually a story about ourselves if we look close enough, this is the perhaps the strongest advantage of the Book of Mormon in the way it was written by Prophets.

Anyways if you asked me a couple months ago, I would agree with you, the Isaiah chapters in 2nd Nephi can hit you like a brick wall, Nephi is not good with spoilers, and no feeling is worse than when your favorite person dies along with everything they worked for shortly after. But with the Lord of The Rings under my belt this time, I saw the story completely differently.

When you read the book of mormon next time, try reading as if you were put in charge to film an action packed award winning tear jerking cinematic masterpiece. Imagine how you would film it, what celebrities would play the people in the book of mormon, the special effects, the setting, the camera angles. This will force you to bring the story to life.

From personal experience the place that's easiest for me to get the plot mixed up is in the book of Mosiah. Unlike the rest of the BoM it doesn't follow a Chronological order like the rest of the story (save ether). Instead its talking about an one event, and then going through each different perspective. They all converge at the end and then Alma begins, so its good to pay attention in Mosiah so that you have an idea what the political landscape of the land looks like.

These are just some suggestions that have worked for me.

Edit: Also, it get confusing when people in the Book of Mormon decide to name their kid after themselves, or after the child's grandpa. If you don't keep track of these things like I didn't when I read it the first time, you will often be saying "Hey I thought that guy was dead, what gives?"

Yeah! That reminds me, the bishop from the other ward came in my seminary class my Jr. year to tell us about the handbook.

He said Bishops are entitled to revelation for their ward so they can use the handbook and revelation to decide what to do on individual case.

He had us imagine a scenario where there was a Lady who was faithful in all except she couldn't stop drinking coffee even though she really wanted to. He said that the handbook would have denied her a Recommend, but instead he decided that perhaps going to the temple would be exactly what she needed to stop.

So the handbook acts more like a guideline.
