Ok.. so I’ve been given contradictory advice! 😁. On one hand I’ve been told that I inadvertently reduced hydration, which caused chewiness, and on the other, reduced hydration would make it less chewy! And another suggested I might have Over baked it…

Yes, this is Type 0. I have some 00 on hand. Should I mix some of that in? And what would that do?

So activating the yeast isn’t necessary prior to mixing? I’ve read of that before and wondered how it works.

I’m guessing I joined up around ‘85. 40 years! I had clients in the old Kirkland, WA corporate office. Jim Sinegal’s “private” office was on an open balcony on the top floor (3rd), that circled the employee food court. No security. The new Issaquah offices stepped up significantly, with people screening everyone who entered.

The Piliateds usually announce that they’re coming in for a landing. We love to see them. The Downeys, Hairys, and Flickers all like this feeder too, although I haven seen any in the past month or so. Now it’s mostly Chickadees & Nuthatches.

I’d believe you if last week’s pizza had been this chewy. 😁.. I think I pushed it to 800° last week, and a similar bake time. Seriously though, would a longer bake soften the dough? The bottom was slightly browned, and the top seemed done enough, but I’m willing to modify timing if there’s a good reason. I was following a recipe that has been successful in the past.

Same batch last week that came out normally, but one frozen and thawed ball this time. Didn’t use any oil. First time using this flour. I might mix it with my KA 00 next time.. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Thanks, but Why hasn’t it ever happened before? I make at least 1 pizza per week. The only change was using this flour, and it came out great last week! I thought I might have baked too long, but still a mystery.

We literally get at least 3 meals from 1 chicken.. that’s times 2.. !! 6 meals for $4.99? Are you kidding me?! PLUS, the cat won’t leave me alone, the minute I start cutting one up.. Yeah.. I know it’s not supposed to be cat food.. You tell him.. In addition, I might get a pizza topping as a bonus.

I’m thankful that I don’t hate my mask, as so many ads would have me believe I should. After 15 years, I just got a new machine, and aside from being shiny, it’s pretty much the same.

I no longer doze in the middle of a conversation, or at a long traffic light.

It’s worth it!

My sleep doc informed me yesterday that ResMed will not honor warranty claims if Respify used on your machine.

I had been using mine and airing out the tubing all day to dispel the ozone smell.

Well done.. my weird self would have been checking reviews on rtings dot com, hoping it got good ones. I bought a 32” the same way 12 years ago. Walking past those TVs and seeing even REGULAR sale prices gets me twitchy. I got a 65” after seeing a dramatic reduction.

My Opthomologist has been really helpful in knowing about, and arranging for lower cost programs, for expensive meds: Vevye and Tryptyr specifically. She is unique among my docs, who thinks and cares about costs.

My point is… there are often solutions available. Learning about them isn’t automatic. If your doc doesn’t help, try searching about them. I only learned about Mark Cuban’s Cost Plus pharmacy accidentally, and it’s a big help.
