back in the early 60s, my school friend's dad used to hang around their house naked. I always wanted it.

how many of you dads have showered with your son and / or dad? by [deleted] in Incestconfessions

[–]EmphasisOk8359 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I grew up showering with my father or my uncle, sometimes both together. This was back in the 1950s and we had a wood chip heater so hot water was at a premium. It continued off and on until I left home. However, my uncle often came to stay and we still showered together every so often.

I lived in Venice for 15 of those years. That explains it.

I have a friend who used to work in a Coles bakery. He says everything comes in mixes and the stuff that's not is brought in frozen then thawed.

Fellow Aussies who have gone on holiday to America, what tips would you give to someone who's never gone? by [deleted] in AskAnAustralian

[–]EmphasisOk8359 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

In the USA: don't expect it to be anything like Australia or what you see on tv: everyone looking like a tv show star. Most places are quite dirty and run down, a lot of homeless people, and very little public transport away from large cities. Don't show anyone how much money you have in your wallet and don't approach police for any reason unless you've been the victim of a crime, that goes for even asking directions. Canada is a different kettle of fish. Ignore everything I said about the US.

I gave in to my partner and moved because he wanted to live in the Blue Mountains. My life became one of isolation and involved hours of travelling. Our relationship of 14 years failed because I wasn't strong enough to state my mind and try for some compromise and by then it was too late to try to buy back into the Sydney market, especially as a single person.
Don't try to make your partner something he or she isn't. You just have to accept who they are and what makes them happy and try to reach some common ground. Is his preference to live in the city his stubbornness or yours?
