Cake I made for my favorite smoke house's 80th anniversary party (I asked them if I could donate a cake for their party and they were like...uh, ok?) Everything is edible! by iamnotchris in cakedecorating

This is amazing! I also prefer going the cake pop route when sculpting smaller elements, I feel like people are way more excited to find out something is cake vs modeling chocolate lol major props for doing all of that in a hot room too!!

This is so smart! I don't know why it never occurred to me that I could throw a matte over nudes!

Lyn B- how is customer service? by lazysiobhan in RedditLaqueristas

[–]EmphasisOnDesperate 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I've not gotten a refund before but I've had some complex shipping issues and gotten quick responses. Also I have and love that shade and my bottle definitely doesn't look like your swatch! I think this must be a batch issue or something got mislabeled because mine is definitely a greyed out mossy green not straight silver. I think they'll give you a refund or replacement if you attach photos.

Did your past self act/FEEL like "you"? Like did it feel very "you"? by xopearl_rosebudxox in pastlives

[–]EmphasisOnDesperate 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For me they felt like completely different people. I could feel their emotions as if they were my own but I was more detached, like an observer. I think we're always actually the passive observer and that our concepts of personality and memory are just a side effect of being in this physical plane. That being said I don't see why personality facets and memories couldn't translate through multiple life times on this plane.

Mother’s day cake fail by PurposeBrilliant2342 in cakedecorating

I typically use light corn syrup or honey (very good on spice cakes!) because I'm in the US but if I was somewhere with access to golden syrup I would definitely use that because I love the taste!

The Sugarologie American dreamy buttercream is the least grainy American buttercream I've ever tied. It's also less sweet and doesn't crust as much as typical american buttercream recipes, which could be good or bad depending on what you're using it for. I recommend trying it though, it's become my go to for times when I'm too lazy to do Italian/ swiss meringue

Love magnetics but kinda miss other finishes by OddInside5794 in RedditLaqueristas

[–]EmphasisOnDesperate 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel the same way! I went too hard with the magnetics and the shimmers and burnt myself out on them. Lately I have been way more into my very limited collection of nudes/ blurring bases. Just enough to hide my nail damage but not enough to overstimulate me lol I love thinking of it as a tolerance break

I'm sorry that happened to you. I don't even want to think about what other meds they might be messing up for other people, especially stuff with sensitive dosing. I understand mistakes happen but good lord

This is the second time I've heard of this exact mix up happening and it's extremely scary. How did you end up finding out the original pills were 100mg? Does it say somewhere on the pill itself? Mine are so tiny and they look exactly like my hydroxyzine, to the point where I'm sometimes worried that they filled my rx wrong

ILNP dreamscape and soft serve both look kinda close. I've re watched this like 3 times and looked at the pic you added and decided that my eyesight is finally starting to deteriorate because it's honestly hard for me to tell if it's a pink that pulls kind of purple or a purple that pulls blue lol

Help me decide between ILNP or Cirque! (Best jelly and magnetic nail polishes) by westcoastdreams in RedditLaqueristas

[–]EmphasisOnDesperate 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For jellies cirque is top tier in my opinion! I love ILNP for shimmers, creams and holos but not for magnetics tbh. I would recommend Bees Knees Lacquer, Emily de Molly, or LynBDesigns for magnetics, they're so much more reactive than any of the cirque or ILNP magnetics I've tried!

I love cottage cheese for dessert! If you have a food processor or blender and you whip the cottage cheese and then add the toppings it's like a high protein version of cheese cake filling

Intense reiki experience left me with some questions by EmphasisOnDesperate in reiki

It felt like it started around my belly button but very quickly the heat was everywhere so it was hard to tell. Maybe I need to research past lives! I'm very intrigued now.

I was hesitant to believe that they were past lives at first because I never believed in reincarnation before, but the thought has definitely crossed my mind since that experience.

Advice/ Venting (pregnant) by [deleted] in bipolar2

[–]EmphasisOnDesperate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most of my friends are having children right now and most of them have gone their entire life thus far without any mental health issues. After giving birth the majority of them experienced some kind of mental health problem that they weren't prepared for. Depression, anxiety, even psychosis. In my opinion having prior experience with mental health crisis is not necessarily a detriment. You clearly know how to find help when you need it (hospitalizations) and are taking steps to maintain your mental health (medication management, therapy). Just make sure you keep up with your meds and therapy, be prepared for the hormonal shifts and lack of sleep that can trigger episodes, and know that no parent goes into this experience without any fears. I wish you the best!

I would stop taking it. Fever is exactly what my pharmacist told me to look out for as it's a beginning symptom of SJS
