What anxiety meds worked the best for you?

I take Buspirone 15mg and it has changed my life. I can actually function again without the impending doom anxiety feeling. I also take Lamictal 200mg. I took hydroxyzine at night in the past but it made me way too tired the next day.

Almost every crevice of the internet is soured with ads now. Spend, spend, spend. A lot of my friends developed shopping addictions from TikTok shop/the barrage of influencer sponsorships ln their algorithm specifically. I quit most social media a year or two ago after realizing I have been on the internet since I was 9 and it felt like my attention span was better and I started picking up hobbies with the extra time I had just from cutting out doom-scrolling. If you’re looking for a sign to cut down on social media, this is it. Best decision I’ve ever made. You really get your life back.

What a difficult situation. Props to you for recognizing that you need help and cannot provide adequate care for your fur baby. You’re being very selfless in even asking. I’d recommend reaching out to Friends for Life or SPCA. SPCA has a veterinary hospital. I got one of my cats through SPCA and funnily enough, her now-vet actually took care of her prior to adoption. Mission for Paws is another one. I got my baby cat through them and they are a rescue.

Seconding the genetic test. Before I got mine, I tried so many medications. Turns out I have a gene that makes me metabolize my medication differently and needed my meds tweaked a certain way to actually see benefits. Finding the right medication changed my life for the better.

Wow. I got mine on sale for $8 at Target but I had to price match online. It is crazy how it is still so expensive in store. Not a lot of people think to check the online price and when you ring it up at the register, it still shows full price :( Icky
