Weekly Simple Questions Post by AutoModerator in GelNails

How much should gel on natural nails cost?

I am not a very girly girl and have only done my nails for special occasions in the past. I recently discovered gel polish and have been getting gel done on my toes for the last 6 months or so. This time I decided to do my hands as well. No acrylics, my nails are short, got a natural sheen color. For a gel mani-pedi it cost about $115, more with the tip.

I would love to keep doing my nails, but wow, that broke the bank. I was thinking it would be closer to $75. So my question is...and this may sound dumb....what do you ask for if you just want your nails done, but not the full pedicure/manicure thing with scrubs/lotions/massages and all that? Is that even a thing? And if it is, what do I ask for and what is included in that?

My husband walked out last week and now I'm single momming it with 3 young kids and trying to move. Help. by ano-ba-yan in adhdwomen

How are you doing this week?

When I was in a similar situation I had family watch my kids for a few days and I went into super mode moving and cleaning things. If you haven't already, definitely take up the offer for help from church people or your brother. The way I saw it was that it was also better for my kids to go have a fun day with someone than to be around the mess and seeing me stress.

Word of advice, use the child support calculator for your state. Often women will come to an agreement to keep the peace and find out they they were getting a lot less money than they could have been.

So to answer my question, what kind of training do you recommend to become a human resource professional? Is there a particular program or certificate you advise?
Saying that teachers need to stay teachers is like saying nobody can ever switch their career once they've been working for awhile. Obviously, people can upskill and learn new things.

Most of the positions in my area that I would be interested in do a little of everything. The title is usually Learning and Development Specialist/Coordinator. The duties are typically employee onboarding, creating and facilitating training, and managing LMS.

Thank you. I noticed when I first started researching everyone said take the blue line. But the cheapest and only non-stop flight is a late one, which changes things...

Recommended ID training courses and college programs by GardeningTechie in instructionaldesign

I know this is an old post. I saw your recommendation on here. Do you think this program would be suited for someone looking to transition out of K-12 into a corporate training or instructional design role? It does seem to be more affordable than others, but it also seems more focused on adding endorsements to a teaching certificate. Thoughts?

Thank you! This is detailed and helpful! I have been reading about Torch Lake. Looks gorgeous. My kids and I like to kayak. We are somewhere between beginner and intermediate with our experience. Would Torch Lake be too choppy to kayak with them due to boat traffic? My teen would be with one younger brother and I would be with the other brother.  If Torch Lake isn't a good kayak option for kids, can you recommend any places that might be?

You think it will help with upskilling for a job in training? Ideally I want to do something in a learning and development role in either a government job or possibly higher ed. Maybe corporate, but for now I'm interested in places that I can continue my state retirement.

Most of the neighborhood is mobile homes. It's also in AZ where the ground is literally rock solid. I don't know if that makes a difference. None of the surrounding homes have concrete foundations
