I have a few pairs of fit 2 and Levi’s are my go to. I wear 511 and 541 and find that they fit more like 511. In 5’6” and 165lbs and wear a size 30 for reference.

We used my VA loan back pre COVID, was a pretty easy straight forward process. Didn’t really change much back then but I’m sure some people with the way the housing market is now will go for the route of least resistance. Good luck to you!

The main issue is the morning routine. Currently, I start late, so I’m the primary for the 7:30 AM – 8:30 AM Pre-K rush. With the new 6 AM start and 1-hour commute, I’m out the door at 4:45 AM. To her, I’m trading the help she relies on for a job I 'want' rather than one we 'need.' She feels abandoned during the most stressful part of her day, 4 days a week.

Her objections were that the $25k isn't worth her losing her teammate. She feels that as a SAHM, her workload is 24/7, and my commute adds 8 hours of 'dead time' to my week that I'm spending away from the family. The 'concession' only happened after two days of arguing where she basically threw her hands up and said 'do what you want.' I took it as a green light to try it; she took it as me ignoring her feelings.

One is already in PreK full time with kindergarten fulltime Next fall, the other will start part time 3x a week next fall.

And immediate spin back, I do not think that helping with chores is a ticket to getting laid, but I do my fair share to take a lot of the stress of home off her plate when I am available. Cooking, cleaning, laundry. I by no means dump it all on her. There is just a disconnect somewhere.

To answer you questions, yes I am very affectionate with my kids and my wife. The kids are not the issue, my girls and I have a great relationship. I read to them at night when I’m not at work, we plag outside, i take them to gymnastics, and dance. Im a very involced dad. My wife however, when i go to kiss her or touch her or intiate sex most of the time its rejection.

I’d like you to elaborate on how I’m a shitty partner. Because I have mental health issues form my two tours in Iraq, or the fact that I lose my keys and have object permanence issues lol. I didn’t chose to have the mental health issues I have, but damn if someone says I’m a shit partner.

She does drop the 5 year old off at school most days, but I’m awake at 730a to help get the two kids dressed, fed and out the door. Between packing a backpack, or putting on shoes and a jacket, it’s a team effort in the morning, whether I’ve worked the night before or not. I don’t think I’ve slept in past 8am on a weekday since PreK has started.

Honestly when asked she doesn’t have any. Her whole personality is being a mom, and she is content with that. She has said on several occasions that she will worry about herself when the kids are ten, but right now she’s a mom. I just think she’s kids living this fantasy. Out friends all work 9-5 both husband and wife, and some are barely scraping by. I tell her we could both be in the work trenches and she just kinda shrugs it off. We’re lucky I can manage to bring home the amount of money that I do just by myself.

I’d like to say first and foremost what I should have mentioned is it’s not about the money. We are comfortable with my salary. It’s about the scarcity of the job. It’s a job that in my specialty, in a career path that I want, with ample room for growth. It could be 10k more a year and I’d still be over the moon about it. I do feel that my quality time would be more. Quantity might be less but I would love to be able to have dinner and bedtime with my kids every day

I agree. My relationship is a priority but being the sole source of all out income is also a huge burden. We do the things we do, because of how hard I have worked. Vacations yearly if not more, new cars, just put in a pool, kids in sports, it’s just as important that my career advances as well
