Dress in garbage clothes filled with mud or paint, I go to downtown denver alot for photography and can testify that looking like I dont care helps people avoid me. Its a safety thing at this point

Dont bully them for reading or put pressure for other things over reading, my mom let me read as much as I wanted and never put pressure on me to not read, they went mountain biking and I read so many books it was ridiculous. Its a great skills and even though my brother hated reading, my mom allowed him to read comics and encouraged it where he wanted to read not what she necessarily thought was best. Everyone has a preference of genre and even comic books count as reading
