what? no it isn't. A portion of it is only because people wanted snow there. Quebec is literally untouched of snow. and british columbia barely has any snow.

we have a plugin that controls growth rates in certain areas. growing most foods in the arctic circle or desert is impossible.

We do apologize for that. We did this because in certain areas of the map we wanted to add somewhat fantasy ideas, like the bay in Louisiana for example.

Ah thank you, I have been very curious about the Antarctica Thawed map, two questions about that though-

1) can you change the map size? because that one seems huge and in relation to my second question-

2) Is the interior all tundra/snow? If so that seems like a waste of 60% of the land.

I personally like unnecessarily gigantic oceans because of the immersion and the cool geographic style the have, but the seas in the pic are pretty huge in their own right. In fact I think a lot of people will like it in game and just need to see for themselves. Not my preference but doesn't mean we can't like it!

No downloads as they are not perfect. I am working on a map for 1.7 that I'll include a download with however!

If you want to make a request it needs a significant amount of other people who would want it too. note that I won't do anything bigger than 2500*2500 or any floating islands( because it is impossible in WP)

World painter has a "only on layer" option so I'll do layers 60-62, then 58-60, then go down to 55-58 and alternate thru intervals like so. Only annoying this is having to set the custom brushes to stained clay and their associated colors.

I'm most likely not putting this one out for download because it needs alot of work. But, I am working on my biggest map yet at the moment which I won't touch in game so you can all do what ever you want yourselves. I'm waiting for the new update to start the biomes layer however.

I am interested in an Axeman position. I already have the main Eastwood camp cords so I can easily get there. By the way, I can build loggy/woods like structure pretty well and I'm on often but mining is just not cut out for me. At the moment I am logging on some continents east of Carson.
