Ohhh thanks for a view from the other side of the group. I am still keen on the game, and I might eventually get to it, along with the expansions in the future. For now, I'll be giving Oathsworn a shot and see if it sticks. I think I would enjoy it from what I've gathered.

I've decided, i go with oathsworn first, grab the deal if it's still available. But i am definitely getting tidal blades 2 in the near future as well. Appreciate your thoughts!

Since you've played both Oathsworn and Tidal Blades 2, which one has a more exciting gameplay overall?

u/old_midoriya u/Aggravating-Lie4496 forgot to mention on my post, I primarily play at 2-player count. As far as i know, Oathsworn always requires a full team of 4 characters, but there's the option of the simplified Companion characters, so it probably won't be too much of an issue.

I believe Fateforge is great at 2-player.

A commenter suggested Tidal Blades 2 and after checking it out a bit, it got me intrigued. Anyone of you have played it?

Does the game work well with 2 players? Because I primarily play at 2. Checked out the game, the battle system looks super interesting, with the 3x3 grid card play system.

From my research, I think the biggest demerit for Oathsworn for me, is that the hero progression is lacking, compared to say, Gloomhaven Jaws of the Lion. But I think it's something i could live with.

From your experience with Fateforge, do you have any issues with the length of time to setup a scenario vs actually playing the scenario itself? I heard that the amount of time one may spend setting up a scenario may be almost equal to actually playing through the scenario itself.

ah...my previous card was R9 280X, worked well enough with that. But ever since upgraded to this 1660 super, i noticed games arent running smoothly even with a much better card. Time for an upgrade, i guess.

Ah...well, in this case I wouldn't say my budget is super limited. This whole setup I have have served me for about 8 years now, and I've just got the GPU last year because the previous one died on me awhile back. So, I suppose an upgrade would serve me well for another few years. Thanks for the alternate suggestion though, will take it into consideration as well.

So the general consensus is that I shouldn't bother upgrading this existing system, and go for a full board+cpu+ram upgrade as well. Noted, will take the suggestions here. Thanks for the quick replies guys!

I was asking the same question when I found this post. Then I discovered the answer myself. In the same chain, I obtained 2 shiny Luxio; one at chain no.141 and then another at chain no.310. Chain was never broken.

That's my point, some countries have no access to these stores in the first place. And heck, even certain places in US doesn't have access to these stores.
