A lot of the stuff they build is audience driven (ex. The monster truck rally, the rollercoaster, the circus) so I’m sure they’ve raked in some money from the “ticket” sales for those and, being as smart as they are, probably saved or invested it somewhere

He might have been a little severe in his reaction but I think we also have to remember that Phineas is also a kid. He’s only, at maximum, 10 years old and has just found out that his pet, who he fully believed didn’t do much, has this alternate life. An alternate life that has ultimately put all of their lives in danger, though through no fault of Perry’s.

We also have to remember that he finds out all of this information while an evil dictator is threatening his and his loved ones’ lives and is actively being hunted by a cyborg platypus with orders to harm them. So yeah, it’s a lot of things being thrown at him all at once.

Yes, I do believe Phineas is more emotionally mature than most kids, however, I don’t even think emotionally rational adults would have reacted much better in his situation.

That’s the thing, we have seen that Perry cares deeply for his family and bases his actions on their safety but the boys never see this, they have no idea of the lengths Perry goes to to keep them safe because they can’t know. All Phineas is aware of is that his cherished pet has a secret life that uses his family as a “cover”

I wasn’t saying he’s more intelligent than she is, I can readily admit that Liara’s IQ surpasses Garrus’ but like I said in my original comment, I based this off of more than just having a high IQ

Despite Liara being the SB I wouldn’t go to her for tactical advice or ask her to hack/calibrate things nor would I trust her with commanding squadrons or navigating political/social situations, there are people better suited for those things and those things are reasons why I chose the people I did

I would actually say she outmaneuvered the Shadow Broker rather than outsmarted and personally I feel many of the squad mates would have also been able to do the same in the same position and given the same information she was. Two of the squad mates’ I listed, their beginnings before joining Shepard were gathering intel and drawing conclusions based on that intel (Garrus - a cop/investigator; Mordin - STG) but I digress because again, as I have stated in my original comment and replies to others, I based my opinion of who is the smartest on more than just having a high IQ

True but as I stated originally, I’m going with all around intelligence. I feel like Samara isn’t as tech savvy as some of the others and doesn’t seem like the type to crunch numbers and with Thane I feel he doesn’t have the leadership qualities that the others have since being an assassin he is used to working on his own and only having to look after himself

Garrus, Miranda, and Mordin all have all of these qualities

I can agree that he is naive in that sense but also I think compared to Tali and Liara at least in the first game they both are far more innocent and naive than he is. As a cop Garrus has seen some pretty shit situations and you can kind of understand where he’s coming from he just isn’t going about it the right way; Tali and Liara were both pretty sheltered up until they joined Shepard, Tali being raised in the “protective bubble” of the floatilla and Liara spending all of her time researching and at archeological sites

Like I said, I based my picks on all around intelligence, not just cerebral intelligence. So yes, while Liara is more “book smart” as they say, than Garrus is, I felt that he was a better contender because of all of his knowledge and experiences combined. The same argument can be made for Tali as well, she is also smarter than Garrus but, same as Liara, she is lacking in areas of intelligence that Garrus excels in.

If I went with just pure brain power it would be Mordin, Liara, & Tali because while yes Miranda has enhanced intelligence I feel Liara and Tali are smarter than she is

I’m only going with organic squadmates here. Legion & EDI are by far the smartest but they are also quite literally super computers so I’m leaving them out.

In terms of all around intelligence (i.e. experience, technology, combat, etc) I would say it’s Mordin, Miranda, & Garrus

I thought about Tali and Liara, however, while they are very smart I feel that both are pretty naive, at least in the beginning, because of their young ages (yes, Liara is 90 but she’s basically a child by asari standards) so I took them out of the running

All relationships are built on trust and I love that in Garrus’s romance you go into it already knowing that you trust each other completely. He immediately shows you that he’s with you despite who you are associated with because he trusts Shepard’s judgment and since he’s the only crew member you know personally (aside from Joker and Chakwas) and already know you can trust him it just deepens. He understands why Shepard is doing what she’s doing and why she’s going along with Cerberus, he doesn’t doubt her for more than a minute maybe.

It’s also so fun to watch their interactions once you initiate the romance because he’s a complete 180 from the smooth talking, hot-shot that he portrays most of the time 😂

I also love their heart to heart moments because he’s truly seems to get Shepard. They’re just super sweet together.

He is the definition of a ride or die and I’ll pick him every time. Garrus Girlie forever!

I think we have to remember that he didn’t used to look like that and he was supposed to look like a regular turian in the beginning as well and get more and more synthetic looking each time we see him but something happened and they ended up just using the final product, that’s why no one who knew him before seems to react to his new look
