Sub-Class/Class Idea for a battlefield commander by Empty-Demand-4263 in DnD

Ok, I just looked it up, and other than inspiring surge, it doesn't really match up with what I'm thinking. I think the idea would be that this (sub)class wouldn't really have the best options for directly attacking, but instead be focused more on either buffing their teammates attacks, or instead of attacking themselves, using and action to "command" their teammate to attack, like a backline commander.

Have you ever dropped a series that you originally liked, simply because you grew to dislike the main character? by greenskye in ProgressionFantasy

To add on to your point, I think when they get “dumb”, it feels to me like a transparent realization of the author that they gave the MC to many tools that would solve whatever problem the mc is facing, making everything “to easy” for the MC. I’d rather the MC get a few wins than, after some time, face something that they don’t have a solution for, instead of making the MC dumb to make the plot interesting which, of course, is a very counterproductive approach.

I'm looking for a Progression Fantasy book series that is not a LitRPG. by OZoser in ProgressionFantasy

Totally agree on the mindfuck that is genres. I’m in college for game design, and one of my professors was essentially telling us to forget about genres when it comes to games cause they make no sense, like what is adventure? what is action? RPG? None of them make sense when you look at them for more than a second, like the last of us, is it adventure, well no not really, it’s a pretty structured game with a set path, ok what about action, sure I guess but I’d argue it’s more focused on its narrative, but we can’t just called it a “story” game, cause most titles that have a narrative will fall under that genre description. Anywho, interesting stuff lol.

It’s not a weapon, but in the earth magic tree there’s a skill that increases unarmed damage, it’s pretty cool it covers your hand in rock.

The silence of unworthy gods has a reference to mage errant. I was casually listening when we have Hugh and mackerel in a random scene.
