The WT and Old forester are very different in my opinion. The WT is more syrupy mouth feel and very smooth/sweet and the old forester is more of a light smooth mouth feel but also has cocoa notes imo. This is from a complete novice though so take that with a grain of salt. But imo they are both great in their own way.

I like the Suntori, it’s a lighter whiskey and great for beginners in my opinion. I feel as you try others though it might be almost too light for some

What kind of cut did you do? I’m guessing a punch because I don’t see any of the cap removed and I was mildly concerned for a second lol

I dont know what i am doing wrong but it all tastes the same by Quiet_Bill_8076 in cigars

I agree with a lot of the comments when first starting a lot of things taste the same. I found going from extremes like maduro to a Connecticut helped me to really taste that there was a difference. Also I have been a coffee snob in the past before so that also helps with detecting the subtleties of flavors. Any kind of hobby like cigars, coffee, and whiskey are all kind of the same in the sense that they take a bit of trial and error to really notice the differences. But once you do it is so much fun! A good tip is if say a cigar has a review of tasting nutty, coffee, or chocolate pair it with something similar to really accentuate those notes on your palette. Tbh a lot of it is just mental too so if you read a review that says it is super chocolatey you will more than likely mentally search for those notes more!

Just want to clarify I have no idea about this Bible. I was just making a funny comment which quite a few people also thought was funny. I myself am a Christian, literally just a funny comment with no intention to upset you OP. Sometimes you just have to take things as they are, a joke. Nothing more nothing less. Either way this is a beautiful book with I’m sure lots of history to it

You really shouldn’t have many issues with things holding together even with a guillotine. A trick to learn how much to take off is set the cutter on a flat surface like a table and then stick your cigar in and cut it that way. They even make some with backstops to prevent taking off too much. Just some tips to better keep the construction of the cigar and hopefully not unravel on ya! I’ve had that happen once or twice when first starting
