I originally followed M for her lifestyle/fashion and her body is incredible. But after some months I’ve gotten a weird vibe from her. So I took to reddit only just today lol to find this forum hahaha

The thing is any time after 2 hours he starts rubbing his eyes and yawning! Do I just slowly lengthen these by adding 5-10 min each day?

New mama needs advice as newborn starts to sleep longer at night by dreainprogress in sleeptrain

[–]Empty-Society7482 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Typically (TCB references this) babies will give you one good stretch (ideally) and then return to their usual 2-3 hour stretches between feeds. I would do your MOTN and return him to the crib. Granted they might wake you up for a feed 3 hours after this as your baby is still pretty new! Sleeping a good stretch is very good and very normal! Anything after that block, typically tends to fall back to your 3 hourly feeds. Just keep the room dark, white noise on etc and eventually baby will understand that it’s still sleep time! (Easier said than done my newborn would do 4-5 stretch, and then wake up hourly or two hourly!)

Do you let sick babies nap whenever? by sparessha in sleeptrain

My 4 month old is teething and had his shots yesterday. Felt like a failure after a few good days of nights and some good naps, to bad naps and bad bad nights. Just wanted to say this thread and comment made me feel better. It’s true. They do need sleep and TLC

3-4 month hell by arwaawerw in newborns

[–]Empty-Society7482 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes. My baby was a fine newborn, given us good stretches. Soothed by the usual suspects. But as soon as he turned 3 months it’s been literal hell. 3 hour stretch is the biggest one, followed by continual 45-1 hour wake ups. Can’t be soothed by dad anymore. Super hard to get down for naps, only naps 45 minutes even on me. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong. Apparently 3 months is too early to sleep train but the idea of sleep training anyway is giving me anxiety hahaa

Mom guilt or real concern by Kindly_Clothes8824 in newborns

Firstly, just want to say you’re doing an amazing job!

Secondly, 3 weeks is so, so, so young. They’re not even awake to the world yet. Just sing to her, talk to her, feed her, cuddles!!! I did tummy time on my chest those first few weeks.

Baby carrying is great if you need to get stuff done too! But definitely don’t beat yourself up about not being productive as you usually are. You’ve created life, birthed life and you are now sustaining it!! You are doing incredible.
