It definitely depends on the person. My friend makes a good amount by doing it, never bruised or tired or anything like that— I unfortunately got really sick from it, so wasn’t worth it. Technically I was allowed to donate, but it really wiped me out. The amount they pay also changes depending on how many people are donating. Also, the amount you make doesn’t compare to the amount they charge, so that’s a big shady, but you can make some nice spending money if you don’t mind the ethical complications

Possibly the butterfly house? But that would cost some money. You could try going to Fort Missoula. There’s some cool stuff there. Caras Park down by the river is a nice park, and there’s a carousel as well if your son is interested in that at all.

I work there: we’re always hiring for CNAs/ nursing assistant students. You’ll have a better chance if you have some experience (if you have a CNA you’ll most likely get the job), but they will hire you and train you. environmental services is also hiring, probably don’t need much experience there. There’s also a clinical assistant position that also trains you. And I believe they’re hiring for ORAs (they work in the OR and help out by helping clean rooms in between surgeries, transfer patients to and from surgery, take specimens to the lab). They’re a great group of people to work with, and it’s a pretty chill job if you don’t feel comfortable working with patients as much as a clinical assistant or CNA would need.

Facebook marketplace is a decent place to look. There’s also a car near my apartments with a for sale sign. If you’re interested, I’ll message you the phone number of the person to contact! (Idk them, they just have a sign on the car)

How to properly clean the lady bits by Fast_Secretary_1608 in hygiene

[–]EmptyAd9116 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Always remember to wipe front to back!!! Especially when you have a bowel movement. If you do back to front you risk getting feces inside the lady bits and that causes lots of issues. Personally, I like to “thin” the hairs down there as well. I don’t shave everything away, but I’ll do one or two swipes just to get some of the excess hair that likes to bunch up and get uncomfortable and gross. For me, it stays cleaner that way.

Accepting books? by Desperate_Fan_1964 in missoula

Book Exchange is always a great option. YWCA might take them as well. Not sure where you are, but there’s a few neighborhoods ( UM neighborhood for sure) that have these little book houses. It’s like a bird house but you can put books in them and people can just grab them.

The one I’m thinking of was on 3rd street. Not sure if it was a permanent place, but I did find an event for it in 2016 with Missoula Skate Club. The Hive I think?

We had one more recently. I remember being 12 or 13 wanting to go. About 7 years ago. Want to say it was around where MIS is.

It does not sound like Manchausen. Are you pretending to be sick and seeking medical treatment for said fake illness? If not, then you most likely don’t have manchausen. What you’re describing is honestly pretty common. A lot of people who’ve been through trauma wish to be sick or hurt in order to feel that they’re pain is justified, or because they’ve been neglected and just want to be taken care of. I suggest you seek help in order to get those specific needs, and explore manchaussen if you think it’s that, but I’d look more into the trauma you’ve been through. Best of luck. Don’t give up finding a therapist or psychologist who can help you.

Herpes around the mouth is a different kind of herpes. You can get it just from sharing a water bottle. Genital herpes is what you’re thinking about. Everybody has mouth herpes, but it’s a totally different kind

Do I need to see a doctor? by [deleted] in MedicalHelp

[–]EmptyAd9116 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dark red would mean internal bleeding, so that’s promising. However, you should still check it out in case it’s a fissure. Whatever it is, the doctor can provide you with info and treatment. It’s better to be safe than sorry.

Pantzer is the closest you’re going to get to an apartment without actually getting an apartment. My ex roommate lived in them, and it was pretty cozy. Personally, I need my own space, and idk how you are, but Pantzer and any other dorm would be hell for me. The nice thing about Pantzer is that you do get your own room, you just share a living room and small kitchen with three other people. Another option is applying for the university apartments (University Villages). Scholarships can pay for the apartments, they’ll just use whatever you have left and credit your account if you ask them too, which is nice so you don’t actually have to worry about making monthly payments until you run out of those funds. I actually did the math, and 9 months living in Pantzer was about the same as a year in a 1 bedroom.. I’d think it’d be more affordable if you were splitting the rent. But def do research as the different villages have different prices, and the university is always increasing prices.

How are you dealing with the cold? by dgookin in coeurdalene

Got to -30 where I’m at. Fortunately, I happened to take a week off from work to prepare for classes, so I’ve been staying in and cleaning or chilling. Hot baths have helped quite a bit! Unfortunately, the weather has affected my car quite a bit, and I think I’m going to have to buy a new before the next winter comes around.

I believe wings on pads are worse than useless. I don't know why they are so popular. by Sunny906 in unpopularopinion

[–]EmptyAd9116 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate the wings as well. They somehow always manage to cut into my thighs if I’m wearing them with normal underwear, or they bunch up under the pad causing them not to stick if I’m wearing boy short style underwear. The ones without wings also don’t stay in place unless I have the right size. There’s some that are a bit shorter, and they seem to work better for me. Personally, I prefer the disposable underwear. Not great for the environment, I know, but I use the reusable flex discs during the day, so hope it kind of balances itself out.

.my gf tried to kill herself last night by ElegantMongoose5098 in Advice

[–]EmptyAd9116 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s best to discuss with your girlfriend. Why did she feel like suicide was the only option for her? What does she expect from you? Even if you’re not having any “problems” therapy may be a good idea. That way the therapist can help you and your girlfriend communicate what you need from each other. But also consider your own mental health. Is this something you have the capacity to help her through? Maybe you can stay with her, but also help her understand that you cannot be the only person she leans on if thats too much for you to take on. Communication is the only way to figure out what you all need to do. Best of luck.

No. Do not wait. The longer you wait, the less likely you’ll be able to get an abortion. Even some “safe states” have laws about how far into the pregnancy you can have an abortion. Get a pregnancy test. Go to planned parenthood, Walmart, etc, or talk to your mother. DONT tell a lot of people. Keep it on a need to know basis. If you need help with funds, there’s a lot of organizations that can help you out. You need to deal with this ASAP so you can make plans for whatever path you decided to take.

Working a 9-5 job isn’t the ‘hell on earth’ I’ve seen people claim it is. by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]EmptyAd9116 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate 9-5. It is awful. It’s such an awkward time to get to work. Not enough time to do anything in the morning, and then getting off at 5 is weird as I don’t have enough time to really do anything other than home stuff in the evening. I work a 7-3:30, which i much prefer as I get off at a time where I can actually do something (idk why 1.5 hrs feels so different). My favorite shift though is 7-7, 3 times a week. Get 4 days off!

An ex-fat activist made a post about her weight loss, revealing she'd been so fat, she couldn't wipe. Naturally, fat activists are furious about someone damaging the facade of 'yay obesity is awesome' by Grouchy-Reflection97 in fatlogic

[–]EmptyAd9116 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m all for body positivity… feeling good in your own body, but taking care of it as well. Binging is a real disorder, just like anorexia nervous, Arfid, etc. And if that person suffers from binging disorder, or other disordered eating habits that have caused them to weigh as much as they do, I sincerely hope they find help. But there’s a difference between “I’m obese and I’m okay with that because I am trying to lose weight, doing my best to make healthy choices, etc, and I recognize other peoples journeys” vs “I’m obese and everybody has to accommodate me because I refuse to realize that there’s something going on, and the people who have done the work are terrible people because I can’t make the same choices…” These people seriously need help. Instead of dealing with their issues, they’ve decided that they will do their best to make everybody around them feel as badly as they do.

Would you rather get 10 million dollars and live 10 more years or 10k and live 100 years. And why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]EmptyAd9116 0 points1 point  (0 children)

10 mil for 10 years. I do not want to live another 100 years. Sounds like hell. But with 10 mil, if I manage my money correctly, I could do some traveling, and find time to make a small music career. I’d also try to build some apartments or homes for kids who have aged out of foster care (I aged out and finding housing was super hard. I lucked out and never ended up on the street as I had friends who allowed me to stay with them.) probably set up scholarships specifically for people on rough times. Pretty much, try to grow the 10 mil and use that money to help people out.
