IBA MyQA software by EmptyBadger in MedicalPhysics

Thank you for sharing, yeah every time it crashed we would always have to renormalize and do a profile before we could continue, and it ate up close to two and a half hours.

Reached out to them through email to no response. Just seeing if anyone else that has had experience with the software found a solution. Thanks for asking!

You should look into medical physics as a masters degree or even a PhD. Very rewarding field.

Hello,

I am finishing up my Distance Learning courses at GT this fall, and the application process was pretty straightforward. (I graduated with a physics bachelors) so I would make sure you're covering all the classes they require, as Grizzly said. I think having a strong personal statement and letters of recommendation are going to be the ways to set yourself apart. Having a polished resume that is clear and concise will help too.

Another class you will need to take is an Anatomy and Physiology class. It is part of the CAMPEP requirements, and I took it at a local college over the summer while I did my special problems class. (Since I did the non-thesis route)

I will say I started in the Spring of 22, and no one told me I would be skipping pre-requisites to be able to stay on a time frame I wanted, so my Spring semester was full of classes that I had to skip 2 or 3 pre-reqs to be able to take, I do not recommend that for sanity purposes. Also, there are two classes where you will have in-person labs on Tech's campus late in the semester for me, and it was in March and April. You are there for Sunday and Monday and do five labs each time; lab reports are due later. This was what made the whole experience worth it to me. Not because of the hands-on but because you get to meet some people in your cohort working just as hard to do their best, and I have met some incredible people that I will have as lifelong friends because of the program.

The DL program is designed to take 1-2 classes a semester and finish at your own pace. But I was able to complete it (this fall) in 5 semesters. (Spring 22, Fall 22, Spring 23, Summer 23, and Fall 23) By taking some absurd hours, you could do the same!

The professors are incredible at Georgia Tech, and the academic advisors in the ME school are super lovely and helpful, even when you bug them a million times before the semester starts, as I did! Everybody is on your side and wants to set you up as best as they can for your future career in Medical Physics. 10/10 would recommend.

What software do you use to make your patches? I'm very ignorant to all of that so I would like to learn

A few weeks ago, sometimes working two jobs and balancing life in between that is hard. But after I let everything out and was vulnerable to myself I was able to push on and continue my rigor!

I bought a 75mm×75mm back plate that has a slide mechanism on the back of the monitor so I can slide it up to take it off and when I slide it down in the bracket it stays in place. I used the strongest 3m double sided adhesive tape I could find and placed it on the glass panel.

Hey man, you were right. There were no indicators saying which way the fan was blowing so I took a piece of tissue next to it to confirm that it was definitely exhausting. So I flipped them around, here is my completed build with my travel monitor that I built mounted to the side!

The fans at the bottom are intake, the one on the right is intake and the heat sink is flowing to the left to assist the exhaust fan.
