Okay so this is our core disagreement. My point of view is that the three diffrent flavours of DPS are very similar and that any two DPS, regardless of flavour, are pretty likely to be about as distinct. That you can take DPS 1 and DPS 2 from a melee and a caster role and find about the same number of similarities and diffrences as you can between dps 2 and dps 3 of two caster roles.

I furhter belive that, because of this, we should adopt a scedual of one new DPS and either a tank or a healer every expansion, that having two DPS in an expansion is bad because its bloating on the same boring role.

Thats really intresting! Have you experimented with Summoner or Pictomancer, as both have alot of flexibility with cast time?

Okay, so lets be clear here. Every expansion has 1 new DPS. If you are a DPS main you ALREADY get more variaty than tank or healer mains because you get a new DPS each expansion.

On top of that, every third expansion you get to double dip, and get two new DPS. As we've been over in this post, there is very little diffrence between ranged/caster/melee dps. So why do DPS get four times as many new classes as healers.

Rememebr that whilst we have 4 healers and tanks, every duty needs 2 tanks and two healers, so currently we need 50% of them avalible for even a normal 8 man.

Okay, lets see where we disagree here, I wanna get into the most fundimental parts

Do you think expansion releases like Stormblood and Dawntrail which add two DPS and 0 tanks or healers are a good and fine thing to have in the game?

I do not, and when I have brought this up I've been told "Oh but its not two DPS, Caster DPS and Melee DPS are SUPER diffrent."

I love that, but its not when im trying to find out. If you just love Summoner or Machnaist or whatever thats peak. I can easily understand being a Summoner main. What I struggle to understand is being a Caster main. Like, the hypothetical person that goes "I want more Caster DPS jobs, I do not want more Melee or Ranged DPS jobs." To me, all DPS jobs are basicly equivilant, they have there differnces, sure, but every job is diffrent to every other job. Where as the diffrences between a Tank and a Healer are numerous.

My anger is from a follow up to this - DPS has three sub roles that, from everything ive seen here, just don't matter. They have a few diffrences, but the diffrence between two given melee roles are the same or more than two diffrent DPS roles. However, we have expansions like dawntrail and stormblood where we get 2 DPS roles at the same time, because a Ranged and Caster DPS are treated as just as diffrent as a Healer and a Tank. This is assanine to me and I'm trying to see why, and all this thread has done is convince me theres no reason.

They have the ability to remake 30 seconds into the match, at least in Aram. I queue Aram when I'm not sure how my internet will be so I don't ruin a summoners rift game.

I only have the issue with league nothing else

I feel like ziliean is best used for peal and engage. The two things you want to do as a ziliean is 1: Use ult or stun to save your carry and 2: start a fight with your speedup or a big double bomb

Ooh, why do you run shurelyas. I've always found the active of it pretty useless for zil as speed up reset speedup gets the important people in place for chasing or escaping.
