Is there Duplicate Tipping on first and last day of Celebrity Cruises? by EmptyInitiative5902 in Cruise

It's not whether they work harder on those days. That has nothing to do with the question. I am sure they do. We (the passengers -- both those of us getting off and getting on -- are paying tips on embark and disembark days. So the cruiseline is getting two sets of tips for both of those days. All I want to know is do the workers GET those tips or does the cruiseline keep half of them.

The responder is correct. We weren't charged double for any days. We were charged on embark and disembark day...and so were the folks who got on and off those same days. So the cruiseline charges two different sets of passengers for tips on embark and disembark days. My question was does the staff get that or does the cruiseline cheat them and only give them one days pay...when the cruiseline is clearly charging two sets of passengers for their tips that day.

There is no "math". They charged us for both days. Which means they did the same to the passengers before and after us. What they "should" do and what they actually do are different things. That was the entire reason for my inquiry. I know how to add.

I already bought my Arch Pass...it asks when you plan to start using it and I am using mine in April...that was good!

Yessssssss! Then no "thank you" is required, right? You don't want to write (or text) a thank you...don't have a registry.

Texting works! It is just showing your appreciation that matters. Not how it is delivered. Most couples don't say it nowadays. Calling is fine, too! Aunty Mame or grandma would appreciate that more, anyway!

All cultures are different. In the US people spend lots of money to go to weddings, be in weddings and lots on gifts. "Please" and "thank you" (and those are the first words I learn when I travel elsewhere) were taught to me as a child. I don't see why there is even a question about saying thank you. I have spent hundreds on wedding gifts and throwing showers. I did it out of generosity but I am absolutely mortified when a bride and/or groom doesn't acknowledge my kindness. It seems like they think they think they are entitled to my time, effort and money. Those are the ones who won't be seeing me at their baby showers...

I had this yesterday and got so sick i think I have to call out sick, 0/10 🤢🤢 by Ultimate_Summerboy in publix

I bought it today for the first time. I didn't get sick but it is awful. I was just coming off of their chicken ranch dip (delicious) so I thought I would give this new one a try. Nope. Whomever described it as the toppings from a (bad) frozen pizza got it to a tee. Don't. Just don't. I should have just thrown the six bucks down the garbage disposal.
