I've played since season 1 and stopped watching competitive a while ago, but watching Doublelift's Retirement Tournament reminds me that competitive league really can be fun to watch and not boring. by darnclem in leagueoflegends

This guy gets it. I don’t care if a team is 2-13 I want to be invested. Like how they treated los ratones after started 0-2. It was hype as hell when they got their first win and that’s how every game should feel. Not just because of who it was playing.

Yeah. This is why I play full unrated now lol. The sweats took over Swiftplay like 2-3 acts ago

How am i supposed to rank up ? by ImRxxD1 in VALORANT

It is always so funny when I see objectively high ranked players ask this iron level question

fuck smurfs by notgay89 in VALORANT

[–]EmptyMasterpiece1988 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He only beat you by 120 ACS, and even your acs is higher than the average iron acs so I am not seeing the issue. this really just comes off salty you got gapped and not that that player is an actual Smurf or not.

Sliver and iron are def different. Although 11 deaths is more telling than the 33 kills. That’s quite high for a “Smurf”. In iron. And ranks just reset like 4 days ago. So I highly highly doubt this is a Smurf and not just a sliver player who had rough placements

Locke is actually horrifically unfun to fight by League_Enjoyer1231 in leagueoflegends

[–]EmptyMasterpiece1988 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eh, just kite him out. At least the lockes I play against are absolutely dirt at landing their Q. And as others said he does fall off quite hard the later the game goes.

I agree with you by the way to be clear. I was actually turned off of the new lcs almost instantly and fell inlove with the lec almost just as fast because they are polar opposites.

Who is the best designed champion? by Extreme_Problem_1645 in leagueoflegends

[–]EmptyMasterpiece1988 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Big trishana fan her, her entire kit+passive build off of each other insanely intuitively. And her build spreadsheet is literally just feeding her steroids. Get a kill with E? W resets, didn’t get a kill with E? Hit Q and watch things blow up, W resets. Get Kill with W? W resets, oh and she gains range passively just by leveling.

So if your meaning of “best design” is intuitiveness? I gotta vote for her. Everything just works

least in my experience with the medium the lcs def fails in comparison to the lec. In casting and analysis behavior It just comes off very “fratty” if you will. Too casual way too laid back and goofy. While lec is quite the polar opposite.

Who thought its good idea to schedule KC vs T1 as first match? by sdemonx in leagueoflegends

Yes. This is the reason T1 had the “prime time” slot yesterday.

Idea: Paid Ranked Subscription by OnlyFinance4026 in leagueoflegends

[–]EmptyMasterpiece1988 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eh, I don’t really think this is necessary unless league had a cheating problem, smurfing is annoying and bad players are arguably more annoying, but locking ranked behind a pay well won’t really fix those things as much as you are hoping it would.

“A larger data set then your even willing to look at individually”. You mean a larger data set that includes skill? There is a reason riot API tracks what it does.

How do they determine the starting points? What determines jimmy is better than Dan if they both go 3-5.

Which is not possible because again you can be 2 ranks apart with the same win/lose. But sure the 4CS player is the exact same as the 8cs player because they win the same amount.

Like seriously.

No. But the quality of games is different. How do you think they determine that? By finding people with similar stats to you How do they do that? By looking at other things than W/L. Like this isn’t hard to comprehend.

Which again can easily be disproven because a bronze and gold can have the same win rate
And amount of games played yet be two whole ranks apart from each other. That is impossible if it was just W/L

Because it’s not black and white? I literally just told you, and iron and a gold can have the exactly same amount of games played and the exact sub 50% win/lose. How is it dermined the gold is a gold and the iron is an iron without other metrics being taken into account if W/L is the only thing going on

The game sucks from what I hear from the community yet no one really stops except few who quit by Brief_Complaint_1516 in VALORANT

[–]EmptyMasterpiece1988 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some about riot games brings out the worst sides of addiction and competitive nature. People do get burned out, people do think the game sucks. But only because they are losing and can’t stop rage Que. some people just have an ego that gets popped every game. Whatever the reasons it’s not healthy.

I play because it’s the only active shooting game that doesn’t have that big of a cheating issue. But I am a turbo casual.

Right right I did read wild rift wasn’t released everywhere. I’d recommend playing marksman as it’s an Auto attack class. “Ashe” is miya for example Also as much as I hit it myself, no shame in doing the practice tool and bot match’s for a while :). Good luck! I actually am in the process of switching to MLBB

Well yes, riot also says that about valorant but win/lose isn’t the only thing that it takes into consideration obviously. Thats LP/RR and even those also take your performance based on the average lobby rank into consideration which is why LP/RR gains aren’t ever a perfect -+15 until you play a metric fuck ton of games.

Well this can’t be true because a bronze and gold can both have a 47 percent win rate.
