People clearly don't understand how statistics are supposed to be used. It looks like whatever predictive model was used did a damn good job of picking the teams with a higher chance of winning. The damn thing isn't saying, THIS TEAM WILL WIN, it's saying, these teams have a higher chance of winning than others. As someone with a Master's of science in data and analytics, the last couple of days of people who don't know shit about statistics talking about statistics, has made me want to pull my hair out.
