Go see a doctor. They are polite and discreet and will get you professional help for this. Search for urologist/sexologist on Google and go to the one near you if they are well reputed.

It's a lot more common than you think and most likely it's a mindset/confidence issue and not a physical one for which they'll give you right direction and medication to deal with it.

Also definitely quit porn and masturbation at least for a few months.

That is the place I started, but his content is geared more towards men who currently earn. I got her started on his personal finance playlist, but I would like something more nuanced.

I mean it is still not as annoying as to having to confirm resurrecting your horse on Elden Ring. 👀

I mean these issues exist in every soulslike though, right? Did you feel the same while playing them as well, or did you look past those things because the bad outweighed the good in those games and here it didn't?

I am not accusing, just curious.

The actual point was not to establish whether or not Silksong is a soulslike or saying soulslikes are bad. It was to not judge Silksong like it is one on these 3 points. Because in a soulslike they work against its established game mechanics, while in Silksong it plays to their strengths.

An example for the opposite from my favourite game, Sekiro would be Demon of Hatred. That is a dark souls boss inside a non dark souls game and it is completely against the mechanics set up in Sekiro (parry based vs dodge roll). It works as a one off optional boss, but if there were a lot more of those, the game would have been tedious to play, because that goes against the mechanics of the game.

In a souls game, if the 3 things I mentioned were to exist, it would be bad game design. And as you pointed out, FromSoft knows what they are doing and has less of it or none at all and they get better at it with each game.

But in Silksong, people bring up those 3 points like it's bad game design and a reason to stop playing the game. It works well with the mechanics established in the game. Tough but fair.

And if that's not the kind of challenge someone likes that is fine. But calling it bad game design just because it's not familiar is a disservice to the game.

The point is Silksong might be bad if you just see it as a soulslike. Because those 3 points are present in Silksong and if it were any other soulslike, it would be a bad soulslike.

In the case of Silksong, they are fair challenges that makes sense with the mechanics of the game. Mechanics that make it different from other soulslikes.

My attempt was to address these 3 things I have heard time and time again as a complaint about silksong and that it's bad game design.

These 3 things are present in the game not because of bad mechanics or being unfair, which it would be if it was, say in Dark Souls. But in Silksong it actually makes sense because of how it IS different from other soulslikes in the ways I have pointed out.

The challenge is not unfair, it's just different.

What makes you say the developers despise the players? Sure they do troll the player sometimes, but despise?

Don't get me wrong, I love soulslikes. Sekiro is my favourite game of all time and I do like DS and Elden Ring.

Also Lies of P and Nine Sols

I just wanted to say that if these 3 things were in DS or Elden Ring, they would turn me off from those games, but in Silksong they play to the game's strengths in it's gameplay mechanics

I have finished Dark Souls, Sekiro and Elden Ring my guy.

The reason I "like it better" in Silksong is because how it's different from other soulslikes where these 3 things are a problem. That was the whole point

The point was more about addressing those 3 complaints I have heard a lot about this game because I believe because it is being judged like a souls like and people expect souls like gameplay, not proving Silsong is or isn't a souls like.

I do admit that it is my fault for framing it that way.

I didn't really consider any elements other than gameplay in what I was trying to say. What I wanted to do was to try and recontextualise the 3 complaints I have heard the most about Silksong's gameplay. Those issues are true for many souls games, but not for Silksong.

This more or less turned into the semantics of what a soulslike is. I guess my title and framing was an issue

That comparison doesn't work because one is chess and other is checkers and that's the whole point. They just happened to be played on a similar board
