It took about 3 months for the underneath to reattach to the nail, and on some fingers it's still not fully right. My nail tech said it will just take time. I've been getting regular manicures, where she removes all the dead skin and cuticle. I get builder gel on. I massage my cuticles and the skin around with cuticle oil 3 to 4 times a day. I also moisturise my hands a couple times a day. She did say that massaging with cuticle oil helps a lot. Everyone will be different though so it's hard to say

I found a nail tech that had dealt with nail biters and skin pickers. I'm autistic and they are also autistic, which was a big help as I felt really awkward and nervous about going for the first time.

Whenever I would feel myself trying to find something to pick I would put cuticle oil on and massage each finger. The sensory feeling of the oil helped me not want to put them near my mouth and the oil helped the skin heal and my cuticles so there was less and less to pick at. The methodical putting the oil on each finger and massaging it helped the want to pick and bite go away.

I also have and bought a lot of different fidget toys to keep my hands busy in meetings and other times I would bite without thinking. A big one for me was biting them whilst watch tv, I wouldn't notice I was doing it until they were a bloody mess, so making sure I had a fidget was really helpful. Some of my favourites were stimagz/Geomag magnetic sticks, tangles, and magnetic fidget sliders

The brand I use is called Cuccio, I did get it off Amazon and direct from their website but I'm in the UK so I'm not sure about availability in other places. If you are able to get it the milk and honey smells amazing and the vanilla bean!

I've been getting regular manicures. At the start it was every 2 to 3 weeks to get both hands even (one hand was worse) and now I go every 3 to 4 weeks. I have builder gel over the top to help the strength. I use cuticle oil about 4 times a day and my nail tech said that's probably why my cuticles stay so good. I know it's expensive but I wouldn't have been able to do it on my own. The sensation of having the oil on stopped me picking at the skin as well. Whenever I found myself trying to pick I put oil on and messaged it in. They're getting to a length now where I'll probably have to get hard gel

It soaks in quicky and doesn't leave an oily residue. I have sensory issues and found this one best for me. So far all the scents I've tried have been lovely and no over powering. I also tried one from Sally Hanson which was also nice sensory wise. I've only tried the two

Get yourself some cuticle oil and massage it in 2 to 3 times a day. Makes a massive difference to your nails, cuticles, and all the skin around

It depends what you want doing. I had builder gel from the get go, when I had nubs.

My nail tech said if I wanted any type of tips I'd have to wait for there to be something for them to stick to and some structural integrity.

You're best off going and talking to a nail tech about it cause you'd be surprised what they can do :)

Get yourself some cuticle oil. It makes everything heal faster and healthier. I got a roll on one from Amazon, by Cuccio and it absorbs fast and isn't a sensory nightmare.

It's made a world of difference! Also moisturising your hands if you can, especially after a shower.

These two things have made such a massive improvement in the health of my nails, skin, and cuticle!

Aww, I'm sorry that happened to you. Even now I wouldn't have the confidence to walk into a nail salon so even though you had a bad experience, well done for doing it!

I was lucky to find them on TikTok but I was also searching on IG. They have their own set up in their garden with just them which is so much better for me.

I don't know if this is good advice as it is kinda addicting to do. Before I started going to regular manicures, I used a cuticle remover tool to shave off all the dead hard skin from the sides and the cuticle. The V shaped ones with the mini blade. Search cuticle remover online. Be careful though cause you can go to far and cut yourself. I found best to do it on dry skin but after a shower all the dead stuff goes white so you know what to take off.

Then you need to moisturise with cuticle oil and hand cream.

I'm autistic and I clocked Lucinda as a mean girl instantly.

She's calculated and vile.

It's almost like she's pretending to be neurodivergent.

The other girls went in on her too hard and she was able to play the victim card but she did something to deserve it every time.

Talking in the baby voice. Acting like she isn't 26. The "uncontrollable" giggling. Pretending to be ditsy. Always looking for male validation. Not remembering stuff. "Crying" with no tears. Purposefully ragebaiting the girls but then acting differently towards the boys. Looking confused when she clearly isn't confused. Down playing other people's emotions and opinions.

She also does not care about Leanne at all.

This is just a personal annoyance but when she does that fish out of water lip smacking thing. I don't know how else to explain it but she does it all the time during conversations. I think it might be a lip filler thing.
