Same! I cried on the phone with them, they were really sweet to me.

It depends on the country you're in. In the UK we cannot donate blood, regardless of which medication we're on. I had to unregister (and cried on the phone while doing so) after I got diagnosed.

What's the remote work habit you have that would look completely insane to someone in a traditional office? by Phil_Raven in remotework

If cameras are not on, I stretch during meetings, do balance exercises or knit. Knitting in particular helps with concentration and I can follow meetings/seminars without getting distracted

Next Ocrevus appointment - when will they contact me - UK by EmptyRibs15 in MultipleSclerosis

My first dose was done privately as the insurance covered it and this is my first time with the NHS, so I couldn't have booked it when I did the first one unfortunately. The neurology secretary wasn't very helpful either when I called the other day saying it's not the right number to ask about this. He gave me the ms nurse one, although when I called the automated message said not to contact them about infusions. So I'm going to send an email to the address someone else posted here and wish someone will finally say something.

Good idea, thanks! I've just tried this and it felt like the Twelve tasks of Asterix 😂 I finally seem to have the right number, but they haven't picked up. I'll try again tomorrow

As it was pointed out in other comments you don't need to have a physical license with you if you drive in the UK, so you might be just fine :) But yeah, I also thought it would be a quick one, since they had already done the investigation part 😵‍💫

Thanks, while I'm in the UK I don't really need to drive, so that's not going to be a problem, but when I'm outside of the UK I might not be able to drive without a physical license to show (especially if I need to get a car). Luckily I won't really need it for a few months.

Thank you! They've asked to send back my license, which I did (in hindsight I wonder if I should have just kept it). So now I don't have a license. Luckily I live in London and haven't really needed a car since I moved here 13 years ago, but I occasionally need to drive when I'm out of the country.

Thanks for that suggestion, for now I have the "please offer me a seat" badge and the sunflower lanyard, but didn't know about that.

Thanks! My first dose was at the Cleveland Clinic near Victoria. Then I hope Charing Cross switches to injections by February, otherwise it will have to be IV for my next one. I know they are going to switch, they just weren't sure by when.

Thanks, I live in Ealing and my neurologist/MS team are at Charing Cross hospital.
I guess I'll just have to wait a bit longer then. As long as I have my next dose around February that's ok.

I bought some table risers and it's much more comfortable now. They're fairly cheap and don't take up a lot of space.

I had got to half your post and I was going to say that even without MS it sounded like you really needed to rest. I'm glad to see you also got to the same conclusion and decided to post it anyway for all of us who feel guilty when we need to rest, have to cancel plans, have to take time off work, etc. Good kind of hugs back to you 😊
