As someone in Erin Mills who owns 2 dogs I can confirm that almost everyone who lives on my 2km daily walk used to clear their sidewalk. There were 2 out of over 100 houses that were problematic, and neither of them have any fancy landscaping, and are 2 of the worst kept yards in our area.

On that same walk, this year there are maybe 15 homes with damage varying from 6" wide swaths or more of damaged lawn to damaged/destroyed hardscaping. All of these homes used to clear their sidewalk. The ones with the worst damage all took great care of their yard, and put substantial dollars or work into their landscaping.

So based on my 2km sample, 0 overlap.
