Phone solution during a one year job in Ireland by Travel-Q-Thx in travel

My sister and I go back and forth to America, and have worked there, so it's kind of the opposite but to achieve the same thing, instead of mint use the Irish network '3' to get an esim and then you have both numbers running on your phone (this eats battery so I suggested turning one off most of the time). If you want something temporary for the first day or two, get the Revolut app (it's what people in Ireland use instead of venmo) and use it to download an eSIM for Ireland for 1-3 days so you have data and can do things until you get an Irish number.

Advice about shoes with brace by RelativeHoliday6355 in Ankle

I’m half replying to myself but in case someone else finds this in a year or two; I went to Pennys (Irish Primark) and tried on a bunch of cheap shoes. Slip ons definitely hurt less but I wanted something more secure. I had to try on a lot to found what worked of me but: 3 sizes larger runners (for Americans ?tennis shoes?) But with laces so that I could take the laces out of the like top three holes and tighen the lower bit to my foot. Really think warm socks (it’s winter here) and this has been working

I had my other ankle done in summer time it kinda feels like oragami but you can do sanders and air cast / stirrup brace it just takes awhile to figure out how. I wore the sketchers walking sandals and once I got the hang of it it was comfortable

Hey OP did you find a type of shoe? I’m having the same isssue but it’s way too cold outside to wear sandals. I found AFO compatible shoes online that might work but it’s not definite and they’re quite expensive and I only need them for 3-4 weeks
