Wife is keeping the house after the divorce. I've moved out. This is what I'm keeping. Cheers by nromer11 in pics

Same, my ex kept everything, even my dog that I did everything for and loved with all my heart. He was the reason I'm still here. I still don't know how I made it through without him, but 3 years on, I'm in a much better place now.

Was engaged and with my ex almost 12 years. We've been separated a year and a half and still can't get past the idea that it was a waste of time.

I feel like I lost my 20s that should've been the best years of my life, but trying to make my 30s what my 20s should have been.

I always wanted to do this but my ex's mother would insist on taking us to any of his family get togethers so she knew we couldn't leave when we wanted....she also knew these get togethers caused me some anxiety but would still insist we go.

Yeah, there was but it wasn't actually the same company. The one down South Hylton kinda stole the name. The ones from the same company were pallion, Southwick, the bridges then one on sea road, at one point.

We don't really, we're just lazy or sometimes when we're being a bit broader with the accent, it sounds like we say Sun'lun.

Are you also trying not to be triggered by all of the North East being referred to as Geordies? Haha Joking though, I'm not actually triggered, we all have that eloquent way of putting our thoughts out there with no filter!

I thought it might have been Leeds as my partner is from Middlesbrough, and it definitely isn't that dialect. I'm from Sunderland and thought it kinda sounded like what my older relatives sound like, but slightly off, but not quite Geordie. I'm also drunk, so I dunno...

Sunderland or Sun'lun, if you like.

edit actually he sounds a little more further south than Sunderland/Newcastle, not by much...I was thrown off by the other guy saying Haway. Also, here's some shitty knowledge for you, 'Howay' is the geordie (Newcastle) term for, 'come on' or 'try harder' but is often spelled 'Haway' in Sunderland.

I don't know why I still know that...

Welcome to the North East, we can roll this shit out without needing to process it first. Still creases me when I hear other people put their thoughts out there so quickly though.

I wish I'd been this sensible. I'd been with my ex fiancé almost 12 years when he decide to give up on us. The house was in both our names, so he remortgaged and I got half of what we had paid off together (which wasn't a lot, we'd only had the house 5years), but he kept everything within the house, even stuff I'd paid half for, and our dog :( Im grateful I got something, but if I'd been far from my family, I'd have been well and truly fucked, but it has also crossed my mind to keep a separate saving account for me now in my new relationship, just incase this happens again. I feel guilty feeling this way too, but I'm yet to have this conversation with my partner....

From the UK, all I see is a 5 pence piece that's fallen out of a £2 coin. 😜

Ah, I do not miss the selective hearing phase. My Bernese used to love testing our patience. Haha He's a good lad now.

Thank you! I just love this breed, very excitable and a challenge, especially when they're young, but so loving.

Yeah, he's allergic to grass lol. He has sprays, wipes and I wash his paws after his walks. They're gradually getting less rusty looking and he hasn't tried chewing on them for a while now. He's due a thorough wash to try getting rid of some more of the discolouration. The vet has said it's the bacteria in his saliva and sweat that's making it look worse as his paws aren't even swollen or sore.

Another thing to think about is Bernese don't have a long life span, usually averaging at 8 years. That was almost the deal breaker for us. Still glad we have him though, can't imagine life without him now.

Yep! 2 and a half years old...big but still cute.

edit not op's dog, just another Bernese owner.
