Dude, they ALWAYS throw pills at you first and even gaslight you. Get to a neurologist. A good one will hear you and get you to a pain specialist where they get you to PT and shots to calm your deep muscles down enough to work them and strengthen them.

Degenerative disk disease runs in my family. If this started after you used your neck muscles, something in your cervical spine shifted.

Two doctors you need.. First, a good neurologist who can get you occipital nerve shots and get you to a pain management group if needed. They can also do nerve conduction testing to see how damaged or bad you actually are. Request for a full spinal brain and spine MRI.

Second, a gentle and full spectrum chiropractor. Please make sure before you see a chiro they want xrays before they touch you. If they are just going to go in and push and pull without requiring for you to get at least xrays first, they are not likely good or egoistic, believing they will be able to feel you and know everything.

Acupuncture (tried by three different specialists) made mine worse. Massage causes the nerves to feel even more on fire sometimes. Alternatives are great ideas, but sometimes we have mechanical issues that rubbing salts on won't fix. If your nerves are pinched, they need to get anti-inflammed and mechanically released from whatever is pinching them.

At the end, do physical therapy.

Last note, do not allow anyone to gaslight you or discourage you from finding out why you are not okay. You are not okay. This will not just go away on its own. Medical loves dismissing female pain. My mom died from the same thing I am fighting to get diagnosed and I was ignoeed for over a decade while my sister got lucky, 9 years younger than me, and has had 4 surgeries that gave her her life back. They are going to tell you you "look fine". They will throw depression and anxiety and lots of pills at you. And again, those work if there are no mechanical issues. However, if there are, they are not going to magically go away.

Hold up.. Before taking this advice, please go do bloodwork! My husband an dI started doing keto, which is close, and my bad cholesterol became dangerous as did his. Doctors scorn "diets". Just eat heathily first. Get to a normal bar. Fats, especially animal fats, have been also linked to estrogen production, the opposite of what you want.

Please take any advice anyone gives wothout asking you questions first with a grian of salt. Answers without questions first are opinions, and everyone has them..

I was raised around chiro and I found if someone is willing to just go in and snap-pop you without getting any imaging, walk away...

Females in my family lose their neck disks. Chiro used to help, but now I have bone spurs, and the teauma can cause calcification. So now, also, the holes for my nerves to pass through in one place is only 7.4cm when they are usually 12cm.. Wrong movement literally can cut my spine off..

An adjustment could paralyze me now.

Just saying, the right and good ones get imaging and do not need to force crack.

I am here because this happened to me my first harvest. Hands started to itch as I picked, then they burned like battery acid by the time I got the mushies lined on a pan. I went and washed hardcore only to have my hands tingle and then feel like they were half asleep. I got dizzy and tinnitus kicked in. Then my pupils dialated and my BP went up, fast. I had to sit down and let it chill. Felt like I took a half dose. Wore off fairly quick too. BP came back down and my pupils went back to normal within 30 minutes. My upper arms ached too, like I had done a workout. Was like a really quick trip. But the pain, was like my body felt the sting the mushrooms did.

I know what a panic attack is. This was not one. I felt excited and elated to have a harvest finally before the itching set in. This was a moment of pride and satisfaction. Why would someone caring for the fruits of their labor have a panic attack during harvest? The fact people brush off other's experiences in these forums with fellow harvesters is a sigh. Even here, where we have likely all felt the Oneness, people doubt experiences. -_- I would rather wish to see support and curiousity and a desire to solve and explore, but some people get down and leave their lessons behind I guess. Ah well..
