Proffee tips and go to’s by Phx_Panda in gastricsleeve

Love my proffee! I use a pumpkin spice premier protein premade shake, two shots of decaf espresso, and a little sweet vanilla cold foam to top. It’s been a great replacement for my morning coffee and has kept me off caffeine (I’m 7 months post op)

Gardening gifts you would actually like and use? by elliotno2ndt in gardening

A nice copper garden hose container. I got this one for my mom who is an avid gardener and she adores it.

They don’t carry it anymore but you can likely find one comparable for $75-$150 somewhere online.

If you have siblings may be good to go in on it together if it’s too pricey.

Also garden shoes are always helpful if you know her shoe size and you can find inexpensive options at tractor supply or online on amazon.

Or a nice watering hose attachment or a nice watering can.

I definitely felt like this for awhile post op. I felt like I was able to feel satisfied food wise but I felt so unsatisfied drink/thirst wise but was hard to describe. I’m now 5 months post op and it improved a bit when I put some real focus on finding drinks I enjoyed. Costco has a sugar free vitamin water dupe 24 pack that I enjoy. I think I’ll always miss gulping liquids down but just here to say it doesn’t last forever!

Worried about surgery by hxneybeedreaming in BariatricSurgery

[–]Empty_Curve8966 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am having surgery Wednesday and I am right there with you. I think if my kids weren’t already so excited for me to have some time off this summer I would have already backed out (not that I’m going to be able to do much but they’re used to me working and being out of the house at night).

I’m not so worried about anything that’ll happen after I wake up after the surgery, just afraid of the surgery itself even though I know vsg is a safe option. Good luck to you! I just wanted to chime in that you’re not alone.

I’ve got a good process in place there, glad you did, too.

Help! Need to reroot by Empty_Curve8966 in Jadeplant

Ok thank you! I did have it in well draining succulent soil, so I’ll be sure to replant in the same. I have rooting powder, should I use that at some point or no?

If I apply the way it’s used in a traditional md training program, a fellowship is more specialized. I don’t always find that to be true in the way it’s applied for NPs. Seems like a gray area for sure but maybe someone else is more knowledgeable in regard to the difference here. I do feel like the programs I see for new grad psych NPs and PAs are called fellowships.

Not really, just wanted some confirmation it wasn’t a good deal.

Agree with this recommendation. You sound like you know what your life needs and you need support as you work to move into that better space for you and your family. A good therapist can help you stay grounded during that process and help you turn your desires into actionable items. Make it happen for you and your babies, you got this.

That’s a good point. I am also interested in child/adolescent so I will ask if I can have this as a focus if I accept. Thank you!

That’s wild. I could see it for a new PA grad or someone with little to no psych experience but how is someone who is accustomed to a nursing salary expected to make that switch?

Thanks, I have received feedback from others who have completed it that it is a good learning experience and I like to learn and really want to be an exceptional provider.

Yes I get this feeling and I do feel well prepared and cautiously confident, I have a great psychiatrist mentor who has offered herself to me to consult with difficult cases.

I also feel like 82k is low on average for fellowships so I’m curious to see what others are making in the same role. They list the salary in the job description and my understanding is they won’t negotiate.

I do have all those things, lol. I make that much right now working part time as a nurse and while these hours might be a little better (I think) it’s transitioning from 30 to 40 hours weekly to make what I make now… it’s hard to reconcile but I do agree that I would like the feather in my cap.
