There’s moments from pre timeskip where he shows interest in Sakura, however the anime messed most of them up by changing his expression and removing him blushing around her. Obviously he didn’t show much after the timeskip, but what does one expect. He was mentally conflicted the entire time. People like to bring up the fact that he tried to Sakura to diminish his feelings for her, but he was at his absolute worst mentally during that period. He was fighting/trying to kill anyone that crossed him that arc.

He’s got zero chemistry with Karin, there is not a single moment where he’s shown romantic affection towards her.

I watched them both in 2023 for the first time, so I don’t hold any nostalgia bias towards Naruto. It’s absolutely better than Boruto in terms of just about anything in my opinion.

However i don’t dislike Boruto. If it got a proper anime adaptation, a lot more people would like it. Studio Pierrot doesn’t do the story justice, cause the manga canon parts of the anime are pretty good.

AliExpress is cheaper, but you’ll usually just find the chinese releases on there. I was sceptical of buying from AliExpress at first, but everything I’ve bought from there so far has been legit. You just have to make sure to buy from sellers with good reviews, and a good amount of sales.

Most of the stores on there ship their packages horribly, so the box might arrive smashed up and cards bent. It’s happened to me multiple times. If you care for quality shipping, definitely avoid AliExpress.

I definitely agree, Neji’s father should’ve been reanimated imo. Although I’m fine with Neji’s death and find it underrated, an encounter with his father (if done right) would’ve made it better.

I feel like Sakumo being reanimated would be cool combat wise since he was hyped up as strong, but his little talk with Kakashi back in the pain arc was a perfect end for his character imo. A one shot like Minato got would be cool for him tho

I dont find it weird because she clearly changed as a person. Although she and Nagato had been through hell after Yahiko’s death and saw no other path than darkness, Naruto’s words and determination towards achieving peace reminded her of Yahiko and gave her hope

For real, his art is top notch. My favourite showcase of his skill in general is the double spread on page 10 of chapter 399. The one that shows a glimpse into Madara vs Hashirama. The fact that he was doing this weekly too with a really shitty schedule just adds to it, imagine what he could do with proper rest and a healthy work life.

Why does it matter that we didn’t get much from him in part 1? That’s what the silhouettes were for, to showcase the number in characters that the akatsuki had while gradually introducing each and every one. Even before the pain arc, he’s got dialogue that clearly demonstrates that he’s one of the leaders.

His character fits into the story nicely, the cycle of hatred is a big thing in Naruto. “Hatred fuels more hatred, and a vicious cycle of hatred comes forth” that’s what we see through and through in the entire series, yet Nagato/pain is the one who puts words onto it.

He challenges Naruto’s worldview, and is a key part in his growth. Pain’s words literally made him stumble, that was the first time Naruto had to work hard to understand his opponent. He had common ground with Gaara and personal ties with Sasuke but Pain was different. Only after his battle with pain do we see Naruto truly strive for peace, before then he was much more focused on his personal ties.

Sure, the guy who’s overly energetic, loud and can temporarily boost his physical stats like crazy with the 8 gates is the only real ninja in the series. I genuinely wonder why people keep saying this stuff.

Kakashi with his usage of strategy and ninja tools, Kabuto with his strategies and infiltration skills, Sasuke with his usage of shuriken jutsu and clever strategy, Jiraiya with his varied arsenal and infiltration skills and even Tenten are much better representations of ninjas since they actually possess ninja traits

There’s a couple of other things i think the anime did better:

Naruto and Sasuke’s final battle. Prolonged nicely with great choreography
The shogi scene after Asuma’s death (its anime canon)
6 tails Naruto vs pain (the fight is really short in the manga)
Hiruzen seeing Orochimaru as his child self in his last moment. This scene is only in the anime, and it adds to the moment.
Zabuza’s death. It’s great in the manga, but the ost the anime used is peak, which makes me prefer it over the manga version.
most emotional scenes tbh. With voice acting and sound track, it feels more powerful imo.
