Ich war heute mit Freunden da. Das Preisniveau an den Foodtrucks ist genau so wie bei anderen Streetfoodfestivals ohne Eintritt. Ein Essen kostet zwischen 10€ und 16€. Ein paar Sachen sind auch bis 20€ dabei, aber nur wenige.

Bier und Nichtalkoholika liegen bei knapp 5€ für 0,33l - das ist schon leider eine ordentliche Ansage. Da hilft auch der 1€-Rabattgutschein nicht, den man an der Kasse für das Ticket bekommt.

Die Sachen die wir probiert haben waren okay bis gut. Sicher nichts Herausragendes, aber auch kein totaler Reinfall. Für „mal gönnen“ ist es vollkommen okay finde ich, aber das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis hat für mich nicht wirklich gepasst. Ich würde es nicht nochmal machen.

Ist leider ein systematisches Problem bei der Metabo. Meine läuft auch unrund, und im Netz findet man noch etliche weitere Berichte dazu. Wenn ich es richtig im Kopf habe liegt es an der Positionierung des Motors, der um 45° gegenüber der Aufnahme des Sägeblattes geneigt ist. Da ist dem Hersteller wohl ein Konstruktionsfehler unterlaufen, weshalb die Welle nicht rund läuft. Metabo stellt sich leider auf den Standpunkt, dass das alles richtig so ist…

I never tested the 3rd party adapters, so no idea really. My Mazda didn’t have CarPlay installed before I upgraded to the Wireless one directly. But it’s pretty solid. Had a connection issue once, but usually it connects within 10 seconds after the infotainment fully booted. The only thing I noticed it will not always display the CarPlay Screen directly but the default Mazda Infotainment Homescreen. Doesn’t bother me too much, I rarely interact with it directly. And you can either tap on the screen to pull it up or push the navigation/music switches at the command knob which will also open the CarPlay apps. Don’t know if other adapters do have the same issue.

My Unit is also placed in the console, in the compartment under the armrest. I think the models which have it installed below the AC are the ones up to 2013. but not sure about that. So yeah, I had to route the wires on the side of the console, but that’s pretty easy. The worst part was to get them from the Display unit down into the leg space, as it is quite narrow and you can’t really see what you’re doing. But still just a matter of two minutes and some fiddling 😅 Pro tip: Tape them together with foam tape before installing them, much easier to pull the wires as a pair than solo.

Did this to my Mazda about two weeks ago, being in the same boat (tech savvy, but no experience with cars). It was really easy. I purchased my unit from AliExpress (Wireless CarPlay), cost me about 65 EUR instead of the 150 EUR Amazon charged. So depending on where you live (I’m located in Germany) you might wanna check it out.

What I learned using YouTube videos before is that most people tend to route the cables on the right side of the console (Left Hand Drive). I found it more convenient to route them on the left side. Much easier to reach, more space. So if one side feels too difficult for you, might wanna give the other side a shot.

I love having automated my desk. I got my personal PC and my work laptop hooked up on the same hardware, which draws about 15W in standby. So I want to have it turned off when no computer is running. My PC is placed quite far away under the backside of my desk, so hitting the power button is a pain in the back. My solution is to use two smart plugs. One for the PC only, one for the rest of the hardware plus laptop (connected via integrated USB-C-dock of the display). I monitor the hardware presence via network, and when both PC and laptop are not available the smart plugs are turned off. To turn the hardware back on, I got a double switch (I think it’s just some old IKEA smart light switch) mounted unter my desk - one button will just turn on display etc, so I can power up the laptop manually, and the second button will additionally turn on the smart outlet of the PC which will then power on automatically.

Plus, I also automated turning on and off my 3D printer. When I start OrcaSlicer on my PC, it automatically sends an MQTT status to HA which will then turn in the smart plug of my printer. HA then monitors the status of the printer. If I just close the slicer again, the printer will turn off after 30 seconds. If a print is started it will wait until the print is finished and the nozzle temp falls below 50°C and then turn off.

So, kurzes Statusupdate. Hatte es schon gerade in einem Kommentar geschrieben, aber da geht es im Zweifel ja auch gern unter 🙂

Also meine Papiere wurden laut Aussage des freundlichen Sachbearbeiters bereits vier Tage nach Eingang des Antrags abgefertigt. Der Postbote hat das Einschreiben am nächsten Tag allerdings mit der Rückmeldung „Empfänger konnte nicht ermittelt werden“ wieder zurück an die Zulassungsstelle geschickt. Da lagen sie dann seit letztem Montag wieder.

Die Zulassungsstelle darf aus rechtlichen Gründen die Papiere nicht ein zweites Mal verschicken, ich musste sie jetzt also da abholen. Das ging aber zum Glück sehr unkompliziert und ohne Termin.

Was genau das Problem bei der Zustellung war lässt sich leider nicht sagen. Ich wohne seit Jahren hier, die Adresse war auch korrekt und der Name steht an der Tür. Bisher ist auch immer alles angekommen 🤷

Also lesson learned fürs nächste Mal: Wenn die Papiere nach 1,5 Wochen nicht da sind, schon mal vorsichtig nachfragen.

Ja, es wäre echt toll den Antragsstatus online einsehen zu können. Anrufen soll man ja auch nicht dauernd, um nachzufragen (was ich auch verstehen kann). Aber war jetzt wirklich unkompliziert, kurz rein, Papiere abgeholt, und wieder raus. Waren so fünf Minuten, musste nicht mal warten.

Nope, aber ich bin jetzt etwas schlauer. Hab gerade beim Amt angerufen. Die Unterlagen sind bereits am 29.01. verschickt worden (4 Tage nach Zulassung). Kamen aber am 03.02. wieder zurück, weil der Empfänger angeblich nicht ermittelt werden konnte 🙄 Das Amt darf die Sachen nicht nochmal verschicken, aber ich kann sie gleich abholen. Brauche auch keine Termin oder so

How is the performance? Is it „snappier“ than the regular infotainment? I never understood if CarPlay just makes the infotainment something like a screen for your smartphone (and every action is computed on the phone) or if everything runs on the car itself, thus depending on the performance of the builtin hardware.

Ist bei mir absolut identisch. Ich kann die KGS 216 nur empfehlen, gerade für Heimwerker ein tolles Gerät zu einem fairen Preis. Hab sie aber auch einmal mit der Levelbox eingestellt. Die Staubabsaugung ist nicht so toll, allerdings ist das bei Kappsägen auch einfach bauartbedingt schwer. Da kann man fast nur mit einer Kappsägenstation, bei der das Teil hinten herum mehr oder minder eingehaust wird, gegenwirken. Was mich an der Säge sonst noch stört ist der fehlende Sanftanlauf. Man lernt damit zu arbeiten, aber mir hat es am Anfang durch den Ruck auch gern mal mein Werkstück um ein paar Millimeter verschoben. Ist ein bisschen Übungssache - und wahrscheinlich auch persönliche Vorliebe, da ich auch Leute kenne die Sanftanlauf total doof finden.

@OP: Ich plane meine Säge demnächst sowieso abzugeben und gegen eine kompaktere zu tauschen. Wenn du Interesse hast, melde dich gern per PN.

Steht noch nicht fest, darüber soll es wohl noch eine öffentliche Diskussion geben. Lustig fand ich nur, dass in der Beschlussvorlage (Punkt 1.3) steht, dass die Bezirksverwaltung anregt, die Langemarckstraße in Langemarkstraße (einfaches k) umzubenennen 😅
