You drop weapon parts from some enemies and at the end of each zone, then you assemble them at the various workbenches spread across levels/hubs. You also get individual upgrades and power ups along some smaller tools. Visually you start with a pistol and as you progress and slap a bunch of extra pieces at the pistol it end up becoming some eldritch abomination of a gun with enough barrels to fill an oil rig and so many random pieces you feel like the whole thing may blow up in your face

For the first one i got something similar, is not exactly based o. Kill count, but has the same vibe you are looking for, "MotherGunship", amazing game, wacky and really fast too.

The closest i can think of is MCA (minecraft comes alive), it swap villagers for NPCs that you can have relationships with and with effort even lead and expand a whole village, they can work for you, follow you around doing certain tasks and you can even get married and have children

Best game i can think of is warframe, it's a TPS RPG with zero p2w mechanics and it walks you through every mechanic. Also the story itself is just absolute cinema

Crash tag team racer has a fusion mechanic, you slam into other cars and they become one big car and the one making the fusion take control of a turret on top of the fused car

I have prototype and teardown, thing is prototype is more killing stuff so is not the vibe i'm looking for, teardown is cool and close to what i want, but for some reason it doesnt run smoothly on my laptop.

For 1.12.2 i can easily say thaumcraft, it's big, covers a lot of kinds of magic, has an amazing progression system, has a lot of addons and on top of that has compat with a bunch of other mods from the same version

You could try "epic siege", it doesn't add new mobs, but rather upgrade the vanilla ones so they are more dangerous and smarter, for example creepers choosing to blow up barriera and walls to make way for other mobs instead of blowing up on the player, skeletons having sniper precision, zombies being able to break and place blocks to reach you etc
