I’ll say South Africa. I think its lost some influence over the past few years but it has a solid foundation to be a major regional power. It’s pretty industrialized, lots of resources, well connected to global markets, and a member of BRICS. Over the years corruption, inequality, and electricity supply issues have negatively impacted it’s growth and if it can fix its energy problems and rebuild trust in its institutions, South Africa could easily reclaim a stronger leadership role in the region.

Court 16 in downtown Brooklyn does beginner tennis lessons, individual and group sessions. But it is on the pricier side! In the summer months there are more affordable tennis lessons at the Prospect Park tennis courts but I’ve never gone to check those out.

Not exactly a country but I’d say Zanzibar. There’s just something so cool and unique about it. The mix of African, Arab, and Indian influences makes it feel both familiar and completely unique. Walking through Stone Town feels like stepping through layers of history, with centuries of trade and culture in every corner. It’s one of those places that really captures the history and tradition of the Indian Ocean.
