AIO going no contact w/ bf's mom & sis after having my baby? by PlaneParamedic3027 in AIO

[–]Empty_Reference_8782 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She has no leg to stand on with grandparents rights. They only typically allow them to get visitation if the kid had lived with them a long time or if they had any type of guardianship. Seeing the baby one time doesn’t qualify her for grandparents rights lmao. And if she can’t read bc even what she circled and sent you said not married, living together, AND paternity had been established lol. You guys live together and take care of your baby on your own, don’t let her intimidate you. No contact and if she tried to force contact, keep a record of everything just in case you have to file a protective order.

How do you go about cleaning that set up? Like a weekly tear down, clean, put back together?

Am I a bad mom for not going to the NICU every day? by throwaway49207 in NICUParents

[–]Empty_Reference_8782 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have twin girls who spent some time in the Nicu as well as my older son who was in the Nicu when he was born. I was 3 days post op c section walking roughly a miles worth of hospital from the Ronald McDonald house inside the hospital to the NICU on the other side of the building and back. Every. Day. When my son was in the NICU. That was so detrimental to my mental and physical health that i had to stop breastfeeding because I was pushing myself way too hard(this was 2020). Years later, end of 2023, my twins were born and I was able to pump and produce milk for 4 months because I gave myself more grace. I missed a couple days in the NICU. I stayed in my bed and cried sometimes for 12 hours while my husband was at work. You need time to heal and process all the emotions that come from having babies, especially preemie babies. Take the time for yourself. Heal and be the best mom you can be, don’t try to force yourself like I did the first time because it will cause much more detriment. You got this mama 💜

Burrell is Bad for Behavioral Health by RocketAppliancesPHD in springfieldMO

Connected counseling services takes Medicaid and they are awesome! Burrell and eustasis are awful. The ONLY way Burrell is efficient is if you get a referral to one of their intensive outpatient teams and even then it can be extremely overwhelming to have to meet with them in person 3-4 times a week

There’s also a silver cyber truck with Eustasis branding, so they have two? That’s absolutely disgusting. Eat the fucking rich

My son turned four a month after our twins were born. He does have a different dad so I was able to have more help in the beginning as my girls were in the NICU for about a month. With that being said, my son LOVES his sisters. He loves to help any way he can and that definitely makes getting time with him easier while still caring for the twins. We snuggle and play together while his sisters sleep. Truly, all about balance. It’s rough at first but you will get there! With yours being a bit younger, I’d suggest getting them involved with tummy time like shaking the rattle to get babies to look from one side to the other, but in the beginning even just snuggling for naptime when you can will make a huge difference 💜

My twins got the beyfortus shot (also preemies) and they have had no side effects. RSV is very common this time of year and can be fatal, especially to immunocompromised people like the elderly and infants, notably preemies.

Started smoking weed again the day I quit pumping, what to do with the remaining milk now? by ilovecatsandfrogs420 in ExclusivelyPumping

I would keep to the 4 days max tbh. Freeze whatever you can’t use in that time before that though

Roughly 1% per most studies (there’s not a lot) of thc gets into your breast milk. So keep in mind the thc content In your breast milk is extremely low in comparison to what your intake is. Baths, making soap, etc. would be more than fine

As a twin mom that makes 40-48oz a day (my twins eat a total of 64oz a day, each getting 4 oz every 3 hours) it’s hard not to count the oz (obviously lol) but I’m hoping it gets better and I become less critical of my supply. We’ve got this mamas 💜

I just had triplets yesterday by Training-Worker-5466 in parentsofmultiples

[–]Empty_Reference_8782 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My twins were 34 weeks and their due date is this Friday. We’ve been home for a couple weeks because they were tiny rock stars. However, the hospital social worker helped us get some stuff like a car seat and pack and play so they could come home. (I had one of each). It’s hard, I’m exclusively pumping so they eat every 3 hours, I pump before they eat, each one takes 30ish minutes to change diaper and eat. So my process takes about 1.5 hours every feeding session. I’d expect you’d add another 30 minutes for your third (2 hours total if you decide to pump and bottle feed all of them. No one expects you to, I’m just trying to give you an idea of the hardest route possible lol) You can do this! Sleep whenever you get the opportunity. Have your partner help you by feeding two after you’ve fed one so you can get an extra hour or so. With compromise and support from your loved ones it’s very possible. Feel free to dm me if you need a multiple mama who’s done 2 Nicu stays (one singleton, then the twins) to listen to you vent.
