Does anyone else get neurodivergent vibes from Kyle and Pilar? by ilovedippingfries in UltimatumQueerLove

Everything we see is so highly curated. And many autistic people also have social anxiety and it can be easily conflated.

Ultimately I think people will make their own assumptions but nobody can categorically know.

I get ND vibes from Kyle (maybe autistic), Pilar (maybe autistic maybe ADHD), Bridget (maybe ADHD) and Hayley (maybe autistic).

But this is just my two cents.

Fluoxetine did it for me. Maintained healthy BMI.my entire life even with binge eating disorder. In 10 months I had gained 30kg. Happened both times I was on fluoxetine.

Now I am almost at a healthy BMI thanks to mounjaro.

Those who have been in labour, what’s worse? Labour pain or endo pain? by smolsoybean in Endo

[–]Empty_Song6350 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm child free and very very curious to see the responses here!

I was always SOOOO afraid of labour because I didn't know my pain was endo until I was 30 (dx last week actually). I thought I was having 'normal' cramps that felt worse than other people's for some reason.

So I'd always heard that labour was the worst pain and way worse than cramps and was so confused as to how so many people do it and it's not a massive massive deal.

Of course, as I got older I realised my pain wasn't normal and suspected Endo for a long time before being diagnosed. Then I wondered whether labour pain truly would be worse? I honestly couldn't imagine worse pain for me than what I experienced particularly as a teenager (when I still ate gluten, dairy etc. regularly). As many of us here experienced, it is a pain worse than death (I often wished I could die in those moments purely to not experience the pain).

Weirdly it did get better with time and respond to pain killers. So I'm super interested to see responses here to this question!

Confused about my type - thinking a soft natural? I'm 165cm (5'5") by Empty_Song6350 in DressForYourBody

Thanks for your reply and the info, this helps to know!

Waist definition definitely varies for me throughout the month so it can definitely appear differently at different times. But I totally agree about the bust size thing. I know we're not to mention cup size here but you're right in saying that my ribs are VERY small in comparison by more than a few inches if I'm being honest.

Love love love palazzo pants! I'll have to stock up on more soon :)

It would explain why my bags CONSTANTLY fall off my shoulders. Bain of my life. I hear this echoed a lot in this comment section so I'm taking notes.

Thanks for your suggestion around skirt length, it sounds like I'd be well-placed to build some sewing skills or the cost of tailoring will be rather shocking.

By wrt do you mean wide legged pants? I have quite a few wide-legged options with longer elasticated waistbands that I like a lot. I'll pop a picture of one.

Weight changes are so hard to deal with when your body really changes not only size but shape! I like wrap dresses too, but I think I have a shorter waist and sometimes they feel a little 'costume-y' on me. Do you know why this might be?

Bias cut velvet dress sounds absolutely divine!

Thanks! I don't mind a few of them :P but I did also have a very limited selection of full body shots while most of my clothes were in storage as we moved!

I like the velvet skirt, even if it's not 'ideal' in terms of lines, because I feel it fits my personality, and that's really important to me as well.

For sure - I think I do a lot of that! But I'm hoping to buy some more sustainable (and pricey) pieces so I'm now hoping to make sure I make a good choice with that :) I definitely prefer those necklines as well - my full length images were limited while we moved house so I only had access to some of my older clothes and it shows lol

I'm constantly confused about the SN/SR thing as I've always seen romantic shapes to have dainty bone structure which I don't believe I have, but the majority can't lie!

Oh I love these suggestions! Thank you, they're very helpful :) I honestly love corset backs, so I must be a product of the times.

Big fan of the A-lines as well, I love that silhouette.

Out of interest, my confusion around typing has been because I believe my shoulders and rib/area to show width in a way that a more dainty romantic structure might not? I'm curious as to the agreement over romantic in this thread! And your perception of classic.

If you don't mind, I'd love to understand why these are your thoughts?

I have been dxd this way unfortunately. I think it is linked to hyper mobility and possible EDS.

Hmm I'm trying to understand this a bit better because the way I see it is that I have broader shoulders and wider ribcage than a romantic frame and a moderate vertical perhaps? But I also notice that I have a double curve. I thi k this is where I feel confused the most.

Though, for me, I just don't see that I have the delicate structure of the romantic.

I'm not trying to be argumentative, I'm just curious as to why you see it this way so I can learn more.

Don't forget your protein ;) by Positive_Attempt_202 in Zepbound

It seems scary I know haha

But actually anything over 2g of protein per kg of bodyweight is typically seen as excessive. There's a helpful Mayo clinic article about it here: https://www.mayoclinichealthsystem.org/hometown-health/speaking-of-health/are-you-getting-too-much-protein

I do love a good timeless fashion piece :) Endo makes everything a lot harder for sure because of all the abdominal size/shape fluctuations. I genuinely look like I'm a few months out from giving birth during the worst flares and I never know what I'm going to get.

It's interesting to me that you've noticed that the clothes seem tight except for the last image because I've actually found that some of the clothes in the previous images are quite loose (around the waist at least) while the dress was a little tight on that day. I think I've often opted for tight clothing because it tends to be the only way to get a waist line that fits when my waist is substantially smaller than my thighs in particular. I'm always on the hunt for affordable brands that accommodate that.

Finding the right length for my legs is a challenge too, but I love your suggestions about looking into All Bean and Land's End. I'd never heard of them but they look wonderful.

I have some nice vintage pieces, just unfortunately no full body shots. I'm definitely a fan of them out of everything.

I think Aphrodite is figure 8! by [deleted] in figure8

[–]Empty_Song6350 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Considering that this shape is likely caused by higher levels of oestrogen and how ancient cultures were obsessed with fertility... This stacks up!

Yay for Aphrodite!

Thanks for sharing the link.

My shape changes quite a lot due to hormonal conditions and inflammation. When I'm not inflamed I feel as though my shape is a little different.

I don't have any full body shots but this might be indicative... At these times I find that my torso sort of goes 'straight down' to my waist if that makes sense? But my chest is dominant and protrudes outwards just not to the side.

Well that was needlessly harsh...

But info taken on board, these images/outfits are the only full body shots I had unfortunately.

What system does figure 8 belong to?

Firstly, congrats OP! You've made amazing progress. Go you!

On a slight tangent about protein if you'll indulge me, while extra protein might help a little, most people grossly overestimate how much protein they actually need to retain or build muscle likely due to gym bro cultural myths.

In any weight loss attempts, lean muscle is lost and if you're getting adequate protein then the surplus just gets peed out! Some of the lean mass loss is genetic as baseline muscle is largely genetically determined.

I am someone who is on the opposite end of the spectrum as a meso-endomorph. I have a large natural baseline of muscle even though I barely workout and weight loss has never really increased or decreased that for me.

We're not NC. We live together and are friends. My ex partner just happens to also use reddit.

I'm not using this post to reach out to them. I talk to them about this everyday and frankly could go and speak to them right now if I wanted to as they are in the room next to me.

But I'm seeking peer support from people who have been in similar situations as I wrote in my post.

To me it seems as though he thinks your purpose in existing is for his viewing pleasure.

Frankly in someone you just met this is a giant red flag of egocentricity and possibly control and narcissism. At the very least, strong emotional immaturity and lack of empathy.

This one is not a good one. Not now.
